Ms. Kenyatta Campbell

CAMPBELL, Ms. Kenyatta - Age 25, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at South East Christian Church of Apostolic Faith, 4171 Lapeer Rd., Burton, MI, with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Kenneth Brown officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Association, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Ms. Campbell will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday. Ms. Kenyatta Campbell was born October 24, 1989 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of LouFran and Kenneth Campbell. She attended Bethlehem Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith with her grandparents, Adie and Elizabeth Powell. Kenyatta graduated from Flint Central High School in June of 2009. She completed the Certified Nursing Aide Program and was a student at Baker College, remaining on the Dean’s List every term. Kenyatta loved spending time with her children, family and friends. She also liked traveling, music and nature. Kenyatta was a loyal friend, vivacious and loving person. She was exceptionally intelligent and had procured a full-ride four year scholarship from Michigan State University. Ms. Kenyatta Campbell leaves to cherish her memory: 4 beautiful children, Ke’Shawnn, Kenneth, Anaria and Naisyir; parents, LouFran (Roderick) Gardner; 2 aunts, April Campbell and Valencia (John) Suggs; grandparents, Ramona Gardner and Willie Campbell; 5 uncles, Kerry (Carla) Campbell, Kevin Campbell, Charles Campbell, Sidney Campbell and Cecil Campbell; cousins, Catrina Powell (Turner), Gary and Densell Handley, Roney Suggs, Antwann Suggs, Dominique Suggs, Ronneisha Suggs, Celencia Suggs, Davis Suggs, Marcus Powell, Kendrick Powell, Tanya and Natasha Powell; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Ms. Campbell was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Campbell; grandmothers, Bessie Fisher and Elizabeth Powell; aunt, Kathleen Bodie; cousin, Cornelius Talley. The family would like to express special thanks to Brenda Green and Brianna Lewis. Also a very special blessing it be sent out to 3 lovely young ladies, Erricka Mayfield, Dorrionna Mayfield and Derrianna Mayfield. Jesus really worked through them and bestowed upon them tremendous grace in that they held fundraisers every day for just a few days and raised all of the money to lay our sweet Kenyatta to rest. We also would like to thank Pastor Kenneth Brown and the Southeast Christian Church family in assisting us also. And to everyone who opened their hearts and donated. Also to those who just sent their sympathy and empathy to us even if we didn’t mention your name. You all are very important to us, we love you and we couldn’t have done this without you. Remember God is the author and finisher of our faith. Without Him, nothing is accomplished.
