Mr. Kenneth Lee Pate II

PATE II, Mr. Kenneth Lee - Age 32, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center. Memorial Service 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Grace of God Ministries, 1060 Harriet Street. Mother Mary A. Hatcher officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the church 11 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Kenneth Lee Pate II was born on March 01, 1981 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan; the loving son of Kenneth Lee Pate I and Lois Ann (Kipp) Pate. “Little Kenny” lived most of his 32 years in Flint, Michigan; most recently in Mt Morris, Michigan. He was a Flooring Installer, by trade; which he started learning by way of accompanying his father from the young age of 5. His unusual knowledge of flooring as a teenager; allowed him to start his career at 16 years of age. He recently completed his G.E.D. from Mott Community College. However; his goal was to become a Child Counselor for the Deaf. This goal was realized, partly due to the experiences of growing up with his cousin B.J., whose hearing was unfortunately damaged at a young age. Kenny touched many lives so effortlessly, and will be remembered most for his wonderful sense of humor, his kindness, his ease of cracking a joke, and the loyalty he showed to his family and friends in need. “Little Kenny” had the ability to capture the attention of the room by merely entering; partly due to his playful personality, his ease of making conversation, as well as, the fact that “Little Kenny” was only a nickname, not a description. Kenny loved his large circle of family and friends; but above all else, he loved his children; son, Kenneth Lee Pate III and daughter, Maddisyn Amaya Pate. Mr. Kenneth Lee Pate II leaves to cherish his memory; Father: Kenneth Lee Pate I, Step-Mother: Connie (Rowe) Pate; Sister: Kari Marie (Pate) and Husband Carlet Merrell; Sister and best friend: Kellie Raeann (Pate) Daup, and Step-Brother: Erik A. Tyree; Grandmother: Virginia Pate; Nieces: Lauren, Reagan, and Karley Merrell; Nephews: Scott, Nick, and Jacob Daup; Aunts: Betty Mince, Cindi Pate, Beckie Jackson, Tina Beasinger, Denise Kipp, and Corena Pate; Uncles: Michael Pate, Bernard Kipp, Kelly Kipp, and Bill Kipp; Special Cousins: Michael and B.J, and many, many others: A Host Of Other Relatives and Friends, including Special Friends: Marshall Goforth, Scott Daup, and Renee Myers. He was preceded in death by his Mother: Lois Ann Pate; Grandparents: Michael and Jacquilyn Boggs; Grandfather: Ervin Wayne Pate; Uncles: Wayne Pate, Billy Pate, Donny Bandy, and Special Friend Tiffany Compton. The Family would like to express special thanks to anyone who has ever crossed paths with “Little Kenny” and showed him love, kindness, or forgiveness; as well as, those who took the time to make a positive difference in his life. He will be forever loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
