COUNTS, Mr. Karon Deonta - Age 18, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010 in Texas. Family hour 10AM Tuesday, January 19, 2010 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funera home 10AM Tuesday. Mr. Counts will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Monday. Mr. Karon Deonta Counts “K.C.” was born February 1, 1991 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Cicely Counts and Rondal Jackson, Sr. Karon attended Bunche Elementary and Longfellow Junior High Schools. He relocated to Killeen, Texas in 2003, where he attended Nolan Middle and Ellison High Schools. Karon’s passion was writing music, rapping and making videos. He also enjoyed playing basketball, playing video games and taking care of his little brother, DeeAirius. Karon especially enjoyed talking to and helping the elderly. He was very soft spoken and had a heart for people. Karon was a friend to everyone he met. He loved to shop and his attire was always neat. Karon loved traveling back to Flint to visit family and eating his grandmother, Janet “Cream of Wheat”. He leaves to cherish sweet memories: parents, Cicely (Derrick) Smith of Killeen, TX; father, Rondal (Erin) Jackson, Sr.; sister, Shequana Smith; 4 brothers, Rondal, Jr. and Eron Jackson, all of Flint, DeeAirius Smith of Killeen, TX and Derrick Smith, Jr. of Houston, TX; grandparents, Wendell (Janet) Counts, Sr. and Johnnie Lee (Willie Mae) Charles; special aunts, Lisa (Reginald) Stallings, Sr., Angela Allen, Wendy (DeLandon) Thomas, Sr., all of Flint and LaRhonda Counts of Clarksville, TN; special uncles, Wendell Counts II, Mike (Avanell) Jackson and Harold (Alisa) Jackson, all of Flint; nephew, Rondale Elijah Jackson; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special cousins, Durrell (Amanda Hagele) Counts, Michelle Counts, Reginald Stallings II, Julius Burt, Jasmine, Aaron and Jaquan Counts, Demercuis and ShaRhonda Thompson, J’Bein and DeLandon Thomas, Jr., Kiara, Harrell, Brittany, Markita, Briana, MaKalah, Jaylen and Harisha Jackson; godmother, Nikki Bush; special friends, Sharniece Foster, Jodie P., JaRon and Lil B. Mr. Counts was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Lawrence and Leona McLemore, Willie and Lodenia Jackson and Floyd Counts; and special cousin, DaMonta LaRonn Counts.
