RAGLAND, Mrs. Karol Victoria (Wells) - Age 51, passed away Monday, April 24, 2006 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30AM Monday, May 1, 2006 at Greater Friendship Azusa Church of God In Christ, G-5165 Detroit St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Supt. Birdies Shields officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Monday. Mrs. Ragland will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10AM-8PM Sunday. Mrs. Karol Victoria (Wells) Ragland was born July 13, 1954 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Karl W. Wells and Martha Marie (Childs) Wells. She had been a life long resident of Flint. Karol was a graduate of Beecher High School, "Class of 1972", and was attending Mott Community College to become a registered nurse. She loved her life as a wonderful mother and enjoyed being a health care professional. Karol had been employed at Kinlovely Health Care, Helping Hands, Community Health Care, McLaren Health Care, H-Care, Intrim, Genesys, Hurley Home Care and most recently Hurley Medical Center. She was a dedicated hard-worker, who was sweet, warm, and patient towards others, and always showed tremendous love; and that's how Karol, will be remembered. Mrs. Karol Victoria (Wells) Ragland leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Hosie Lee Ragland of Flint; son, George Vincent Wells of Detroit; daughter, Antoinette Rose-Lyn Ragland of Flint; 7 step-children, Arveldia Denise Ballard, Jeffrey Lee Ragland of Toledo, OH, Elsie Delores McNeil, Becky Ragland and Hosie Lee Ragland, all of Thomaston, GA, Aaron Ragland of Detroit, MI and Bill Armstrong of Oxford, MS; 20 grandchildren including, Tajh Atwan Trevell Finch, Marsu Hussey, Jr., Tixketja, Cachette Marie Wells, Vinnisha Jonique Wells, and Sherrita Monia Ann Finch of Phoenix, AZ; 11 great-grandchildren; father, Karl Wells of Flint; grandparents, Myrtle (Stewart) Childs and John W. Childs, all of Flint; 2 sisters, Denise Antoinette Wells of Flint, Sharon (DeJerry) Warren of Omaha, NE; 4 brothers, Karl Wells, Jr., Innie Wells, John (Juanita) Wells, all of Flint, and Kevin Wells of Columbus, OH; 5 nieces; 9 nephews; 11 great-nieces; 14 great-nephews; uncles, Aaron Childs of Flint and James L. Childs of Columbus, OH; numerous cousins; mother and father-in-law, Elsie Berry and Jerome Ragland; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Elvira Moore, Loistein Herns, Gayle Williams, Ethel Browne, Carolyn Harvey and Wilma Matlock. Mrs. Ragland was preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Marie Pat Ragland; mother, Martha Marie (Childs) Wells; 4 aunts, Racheal Echelberger of Flint, Ruth McCann, Deborhas Meadows and Dorcas Roberson; and 2 uncles, Nathen L. and John T. Childs. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Hurley Medical Center ICU and 4th floor, the Greater Friendship Azusa Church of God In Christ family, and all the other family and friends who have helped us throughout our bereavement.
