HONAKER, Mr. Juwan Terry - Age 25, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in Phoenix, AZ. Family Hour 10:00 AM Monday, April 8, 2024, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Funeral Home 10:00 AM Monday. Mr. Honaker will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM Sunday. Juwan "Juju" Terry Honaker, age 25,was born March 27, 1998 in Flint Michigan, the son of LaDrienne Mae Honaker. Juwan, known for his big heart, giving nature, and sense of humor, was a beautiful soul. He suffered loss at a very young age with the passing of his Mother. Juwan was raised by his grandparents (Virgil Sr & Annette Honaker), immediate family as well as, some extended family members contributed to his upbringing. Juwan attended grade school in the Flint and Grand Blanc areas and graduated in 2016 from Youngker High School in Buckeye, AZ. Juwan enjoyed living and exploring life on his own terms. Growing up Juwan found interest in numerous activities including sports and music. He occupied his youth playing basketball and football in school and beyond. Juwan found discipline in martial arts, where he earned his black belt in karate. As Annette Honaker’s grandson, he had music in his DNA. Juwan expanded his musical horizons as he ventured into learning to play the guitar and singing along side his cousins at church functions in the group called “H & J Gospel Connections”. Like most youth Juwan enjoyed his leisure playing video games, traveling, along with spending time with his family and friends between Michigan and Arizona. He took pleasure in joking around and making others laugh while supporting anyone in need. Juwan spent extended time at the gym working out and had a special passion for the sport of football, which was evident whenever he suited up as #43 with his "brother" Devo and the Arizona Spartans football family on the field. Juwan’s unmatched commitment to those he cared about was evident in the way he would show up and remain present in support. Juwan held in high regard the family that raised him, the cousins that he viewed as siblings and the friends he saw as family. "Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear" May Juwan's memory live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Juwan leaves to cherish his memory: Grandmother & Guardian Annette Honaker of Flint, MI. Aunts and Uncles: Virgil (Edward) Honaker II of Troy, MI, LaJuana Jones of San Tan Valley, AZ, Antoan (Arlena) Honaker of Burton, MI, and Anton (Lalinda) Honaker of Glendale, AZ. He is also survived by his cousins: Devorrian Jones and Elise Jones of San Tan Valley, AZ, KeTorah (Corey) Wirrick of Chicago, IL, Alayna Honaker, Ayanna Honaker, Aryn Honaker and Antoan Honaker II of Burton, MI, Annisa Honaker, and Elijah Honaker of Glendale, AZ; a Host of other special relatives and friends, far too many to list here, but you know who you are. Juwan was preceded in death by his Mother- LaDrienne Honaker, Grandfather & Guardian Virgil Honaker Sr, Great-Grandparents Matra Isom, and Elizabeth Honaker.
