Ms. Juan Francine (Dye) Smith

(DYE) SMITH, Ms. Juan Fancine - Age 71, passed away, Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Sharp Hospice in Spring Valley, CA. Memorial Service 1:00 PM Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Southeast Christian Church, 4171 Lapeer Rd. Burton, MI. Elder Kenneth Brown, Sr., officiating. Forever Fond Loving Memories of Ms. Juan Francine Smith. Juan Francine Smith born in to the union of Dennis Dye Sr. and Florence Mae Moore on December 10, 1949. Juan was the third of four children. She gain her education from the Flint School System. Concluding her high school education at Emerson High School. As a teen she volunteered at Hurley Medical Center as a nurse’s aide. Juan went on to obtain employment with General Motors, and retired after 30 years from Buick City. She was a proud third generation UAW Local 599 member. Participating in the union elections, organizing family activities and served on the bereavement committee. With a rich history in the Apostolic Faith Juan was a member of Bethlehem Temple Church, where her grandparents, Eld. Europe and Gertrude Woods were pillars. Although Juan grew up at Bethlehem Temple she claimed Southeast Christian Church as her home. Juan was selected as General Motors new car Ambassador. Raising her girls to be strong, independent, respectful and caring. She worked hard as a single parent to provide street smarts and business savvy. Juan also took parental responsibility for her niece Sherri Langston and nephew Poriot Dye in their teenage years. Raising them along with her four daughters. She expressed her dedication, pride and love for her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren weather they lived near or far. She relished in every one of their accomplishment, big or small. The love and bond that she encouraged will continue to live on through her children. Ms. Juan Francine Smith leaves to cherish Daughters: Retinea (Walter) Hicks of Flint, Michigan, Shalanda (Cartier III) Conley of San Diego, California; Telicia (Cedric) Harris of Flint, Michigan, and Florence “Renee” (Paul) Wright of Williamstown, New Jersey. Grandchildren: Marrelle Dye of Flint, Michigan; Corea Connie of Dallas, Texas; Ebony Felder of Atco, New Jersey, Tiffany Wiley of Williamstown, New jersey; Cartier Conley IV, Amir Conley and Kaseem Conley all of San Diego,California; Jala Clemons and Joshua Hicks of Flint, Michigan. Great-Grand children: Marelle Dye Jr., Ahmir Dye, McKinsey Dye, Jayce Connie and Caleb Dye all of Flint, Michigan. Sisters: Becky (Ricky) Brown of Flint, Michigan and Dani Dye of Boston, Massachusetts. Special nephew Sheldon (Christan) Williams of Los Angeles, California. Sister-in-law Beverly Reynolds of Los Angeles California. Sister “Purple” Patricia Williams of Flint, Michigan and Very special friend Scarlet Keyes of Flint, Michigan. God children Dennis Brown and Keisha Brown of Flint, Michigan. A host of nieces and nephews. Miss Smith was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eld. Europe and Gertrude Woods, parents, Dennis Dye Sr. and Florence Moore; brothers, Dennis Dye Jr. and William Dye and sister, Juanetta Redwine and nephew, Evan Wilder “Jr”.
