CONERLY, Ms. Joyia Joshae - Age 30, passed away Friday, March 19, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2 p.m., Pastor Jarvis Richardson officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Ms. Conerly will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Friday. Ms. Joyia Joshae Conerly was born August 13, 1979 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Daniel and Regina Conerly. Joyia was a graduate of Davenport University, where she obtained her Bachelors Degree. She was three courses short of obtaining her Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix. Joyia worked for the Flint Community Schools. She had a passion for working with children. Joyia loved bowling and going to the movies. She also loved spending time with her family and especially her nephew, Jordan Barfield, who was like a son to her. Ms. Joyia Joshae Conerly leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Regina Conerly of Flint; sisters, Katerrius (Dexter Barfield) Conerly of Flint and Sheltone (Abdullah) Eans of Cartersville, GA; brothers, Joshua (Tiffany) Conerly of Conyers, GA and Daniel (Jessica Wilson) Conerly III of Flint; niece, Kalen Wilson, all of Flint; nephews, Jordan Conerly of Flint, Abdullah Eans II, Amiel Eans, both of Cartersville, GA, Joshua Conerly II of Conyers, GA and Daniel Conerly IV of Flint; godchildren, Chanell Centers and Lucas Seabrooks; aunts, Shirley Sillman, Janis Conerly, Linda Conerly, Marilyn (Duane Walker) Leverette, all of Flint, Lennie (James) Cardwell of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Lisa (James) Anderson and Monica Leverette; uncles, Jay Leverette, Larry Conerly, Terry and Lawrel Leverette, all of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Tina, Tammy, Kathy, Celeste, D. and Harland. Ms. Conerly was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Conerly, Jr.; grandparents, Daniel and Evia Lee Conerly, Sr., J.W. and Flossie Leverette; niece, Jasmine Barfield; and aunt, JoAnn Conerly Royster.
