JONES, Mrs. Joyce - Age, 67, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025, at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 1:30 PM Saturday, April 12, 2025, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM Saturday. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, 3415 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Funeral Home 1:30 PM Saturday. Mrs. Jones will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Friday. Mrs. Joyce “Jay Jay” Jones was born November 10, 1957 in Perryville, Missouri, the daughter of Melvin Kirn Sr. and Dorothy Galvan. Joyce moved to Flint, Michigan as a child with her mother, Dorothy. She graduated from Flint Northern High School. Joyce work many years as a Manager of Warner House Assisted Living and Kim's Dry Cleaners as Store Manager. Joyce enjoyed fishing, shopping, bowling, traveling and hanging with family and friends. She also loved the Lord. On Sunday’s she would attend Hand of God Ministries and it’s live streams. She lived life to its fullest. Mrs. Joyce “Jay Jay” Jones leaves to cherish her memory: children, Dashanda Jones of Clio, MI, Dameka Jones of Mt. Morris, MI, Demarko (Lana) Jones of Clio, MI and Marquavion Hodge of Flint; step-children, Colleen (Ron) Fails of Mt. Morris, MI, Crystal (Darren) Munerlyn, Charles Jones, Carl Jones, Cynthia Lyons and Andre (Kim) Haynes, all of Flint; grandchildren, Michael (Destiny) Thompson III, Antownen Powell Jr., Manijha Walton, Maniyah Walton, Makhia Walton, King Walton Jr., Kallie Jones, Lamarion Robinson, Damarko D. Jones, Lariah Robinson, Dekai Jones, Demarko M. Jones, Lybreti Jones and Isaiah Jones; great-grandchildren, Michael Thompson IV and Demiah Thompson; a host of nieces and nephews; siblings, Melvin (Cindy) Kirn, Brenda (Leroy Sr.) Barnett, all of Perryville, MO. Richard (Connie) Kirn of Arizona, David Kirn, Daniel Kirn, both of Perryville, MO and Ronald Kirn of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her grandson, Kayden Jones; stepson, Carl Jones; parents, Melvin Kirn Sr. and Dorothy Galvan; brothers, David, Ronald and Daniel Kirn; and best friend, Kathy Charles.
