BEAMON, Ms. Josephine "Precious" - Age 34, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 in Raleigh, NC. Family hour 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Ryan Mixon, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Association G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Ms. Beamon now lies in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday with family present from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. to receive friends. Ms. Josephine “Precious” Beamon was born January 27, 1982 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Pastor James and Sis. Edna Beamon. She received Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church where the late Robert L. Blanks, Sr. was pastor. Josephine graduated with honors and top of her class in 2000 from Beecher High School. She later continued her education at Baker College of Flint where she received her Bachelor Degree in Business Management and Accounting in 2004. While attending Baker College, Josephine worked as a Cashier for Meijer stores and Teller for Bank One. She was later promoted to Assistant Branch Manager at Saginaw and Wager Chase Bank, where she worked diligently for 15 years. Josephine finally decided it was time for a change and relocated to Raleigh, NC in April 2013. She worked various jobs until she found the one she loved, Wells Fargo of Raleigh, NC. She was a Bankruptcy Specialist and she enjoyed it. Working in Business and Finance was just a small portion of Josephine’s legacy. She did most of her work, working for the Lord. Josephine was a member of the Morning Glory Missionary Baptist Church where the pastor is the Rev. James Beamon, her father. She served in every capacity of the church. Josephine was Choir Director, Church Accountant, Praise & Worship Leader, on the Kitchen Committee, Cleaning Committee and Evangelistic Committee. She later joined the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church where the pastor is the Rev. Wallace Hill III, and joined the choir there as well. Josephine enjoyed singing so much she joined the well known Rob J & J Factor as a background singer in April of 2012. After relocating to Raleigh, NC, she joined the Wake Chapel Church where the pastor is the Rev. JJ Wilkins, Jr., where she served as an Usher and sang in the Mass Choir. Josephine had a voice from heaven and a heart of love. She will always be remembered for her smiling face, outrageous laugh, outgoing personality, but most of all her love for God. Josephine’s hobbies were baking, reading, singing, and showing everyone how to do their lashes and makeup. She also enjoyed bowling and most of all spending time with family. Ms. Josephine “Precious” Beamon leaves to cherish her memory: parents, Pastor James and Sis. Edna Beamon; god-parents, Lamar and Edith Whitaker; 3 sisters, Yolunda Campbell, Kendra (Antoine) Harris-Singleton and Rosie Beamon; brother Aderal Beamon; 4 nieces, Brianna Campbell, Gabrielle Harris-Singleton, Lundyn Beamon and Adrienne Harris-Singleton; 3 nephews, Joshua Campbell, Jakari Irvin and Antoine Harris-Singleton, Jr.; 9 aunts, Ethel Carlize of Renova, MS, Ollie Kay Perry of Mt. Morris, MI, Barbara (David) Fizer of Memphis, TN, Mamie Beamon of Flint, Charlie Mae Hunter of Mt. Bayou, MS, Rachel Northington of Cleveland, MS, Teresa (Alvin) Daniels of Merigold, MS and Thelma Gibson of Rosedale, MS; 11 uncles, Junior (Lula) Pates, Aaron (Callie) Pates, Charles (Christella) Pates, all of Cleveland, MS, Nathaniel (Ruby) Pates of Chicago, IL, Sylvester Pates of Miami, FL Leo (Sarah) Pates of Cleveland, MS, Willie James (Daisy) Pates of Merigold, MS, Ezell (Nona) Pates of Chicago, IL, Roy (Kathy) Pates of Ronova, MS, Eldridge Earl (Lynda) Beamon of Dallas, TX and Joe Aric Beamon of San Jose, CA; a host of cousins including special cousins, Larry Banks II and Levell Banks; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Odie Robinson, Tieneisha Robinson, Takeyla Massie, Judy Samuels and Trumaine Patrick. Ms. Beamon was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eldridge Earl Sr. and Josephine Beamon, Aaron Sr. and Rosie Lee Pates; aunts, Doris Rose Beamon, Doris Faye Beamon-Banks, Teresa Redmond, Oree Mize and Willie Eva Johnson; uncles, Billy Beamon, Larry Beamon, Sr., Charley Ray Beamon and Mickey Beamon. The family would like to express a special thanks to Wake Medical Center and staff of Raleigh, NC, Chase Bank family, Pastor Jason and Sonya Theodore of Redigging the Foundation Ministries of Apostolic Faith in Raleigh, NC and Agape Baptist Church.
