LANGSTON, Mr. Joseph N. - Age 65, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Rev. William H. Bell, Jr. officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Langston will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Joseph N. Langston was born October 2, 1949, in Flint, Michigan, to Joseph Glasper El and Betty Jean Langston. Joseph was a man who took his walk with the Lord seriously. When he took the Lord's hand he made the commitment to go all the way! He was down to earth, humble, open to change, and a father figure to so many. Joseph was inspirational in his movements, he not only inspired people to make positive changes in their daily lives but more important than that, he encouraged them in their spiritual walk with the Lord. Joseph's passion in life was the walking, teaching, and preaching about the goodness of the Lord. Joseph retired from General Motors after 30 years of service and then he began his quest to explore his many amazing entrepreneurial endeavors. On June 17, 2015, Joseph went to be with the Lord. Mr. Joseph N. Langston leaves to cherish his loving wife Jeri Langston of 38 years, 4 daughters; JoAnna Langston, Katina Langston, Monica Langston, and Roshanda (Jeffrey) Mills, 2 sons; Joseph Langston, Jr. and Dwayne Langston, 6 sisters; Charlotte (Calvin) Greenard, Betty March Bryant, Bobbie Ann Wells, Ida Glasper El, Josette (Wardell) Glasper El Lovelace, and Linda Glasper El Rice, 3 brothers; Stanley Langston, Joseph Glasper El, and Eric Glasper El, 11 grandchildren; Robert Brandon Harris, Jewel Langston, Daezhon Langston, Brooklyn Langston, Treasure Langston, Moriah Langston, Jeffrey Mills Jr., Celeste Langston, Dwayne Langston, Jr., Angel Langston, and Nasiya Langston, In-laws; MiAsia Pasha, Rosie (Joe) Burris, Kelvin (Sonia) McFadden, and Vincent (Kim) McFadden, dear friends, Ed Stapleton and Howard (Diane) Triplett, special cousin who was like a brother, Thomas (PeeWee) Houston El, and a host of many, many other special nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones. Joseph is preceded in death by his father; Joseph (Leda) Glasper El mothers; Betty Jean Langston and Mary Ann Williams, and brothers; Clifford Williams and Charles Langston.
