Mr. Johnny "PC" Watson Sr.

WATSON, Mr. Johnny "PC" Sr. - Age 70, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 at his residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Friday, May 10, 2019 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 10:30 AM. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Friday. Mr. Watson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 Thursday with the family present from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM to receive friends. Mr. Johnny “PC” “Chicago” Watson Sr. was born February 9, 1949 in Boligee, Alabama, the son of Inell Watson and Willie Taylor. He toured in the Vietnam War and was Honorably Discharged from the United States Army with a Purple Heart Medal. Johnny graduated from Flint Beecher Adult and Career Center on May 25, 1978. He was employed for General Motors Corporation and Consolidated Packaging where he received his nickname “PC”. Johnny was a well-known Mixologist in numerous establishments, just to name a few… Beavers Sports Lounge, Hollywood East Supper Club and The Vets Club. He also oversaw the daily operations of the establishment named The Palace on Lapeer Road. Johnny enjoyed spending time with his wife of 22 years, his children and grandchildren. His hobbies were playing the lottery, shooting pool and Karaoke with his favorite artist, Lou Rawls. Johnny was an active member of the American Legion Post #158 until his health declined. Mr. Johnny “PC” “Chicago” Watson Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Therese Randall-Watson of Clio, MI; 3 daughters, Tamora “Baby Girl” Watson, Tiauna “Honey Bun” Watson and Shawn Penegar; son, Johnny Watson II; grandchildren, ShaQuille “Shaq” Watson, Saniah “Chocolate” Watson, Quanta’geah Penegar, Tywan Mathews, Deandre Mitchell, Janiya Welsh, all of Flint, Devin Foster and Kayla Linton; 3 sisters, Gertrude Newson of Indianapolis, IN, Elnora Moore of Chicago, IL and Denise Watson of Portage, IN; 2 brothers, Fredrick (Paula) Watson of Chicago, IL and Charles (Carolyn) Hudson of Mt. Morris, MI; uncle, Melvin Pruitt of Mississippi; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins including favorite cousin, Sabrina (Clayton) Turner; mother-in-law, Lorene Randall; sister-in-law, Cheryl Randall; brother-in-law, Frank (Amanda) Randall III; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Marcia (Gary) Jackson of Clio, MI, Beatrice Watkins of Flint, Rainno Branch of Atlanta, GA and Nita Harvey of Mt. Morris, MI. Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his parents, Inell Watson and Willie Taylor; sisters, Inell, Lois and Yvonne; brother, Bobby Hatter; and father-in-law, Frank Randall Jr. The family would like to express special thanks for your prayers, cards, phone calls and all other acts of kindness shown to the us.
