WRIGHT, Mr. Johnnie - Age 66, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 10AM Wednesday, April 9, 2008 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM, Eld. Kenneth L. Stewart, officiating. Interment Great Lake National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10AM Wednesday. Mr. Wright will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Tuesday. Mr. Johnnie "Burnt House" Wright was born February 2, 1942 in Atlanta, GA, the son of Henry Wright and Ella Bell (Johnson) Bolden. He was a resident of the City of Flint and a graduated of Flint Northern High School. Johnny retired from Chevrolet Engine Plant a division of General Motors and a member of U.A.W. Local 659. Johnnie attended Detroit College of business receiving a Associates Degree. He was a veteran of the United States Army Korean War Conflict. Mr. Johnnie "Burnt House" Wright leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters, Kim Carpenter of Flint, and Yolanda (Terry) Sullivan of Clio; son, Mark (Chryl) Wright of Suisun, CA; grandchildren, Roderick (Marisol) Carpenter of Lansing, Anthony (T.J.) Smiley, II, Danielle Smiley both of Parhrump, NV, Mark and Mikal Wright of Suisun, CA and Malek Wright of Oakland, CA; step-father, Huston Bolden of Flint; 3 sisters, Muriel (Lamount) Muhammad of Chester, PA, Barbara Ann Bolden-Roland of Stone Mountain, GA and Karen Bolden-Purches of Flint; 2 brothers, Huston (Loretta) Bolden, Jr. of Flint and Dennis (Joyce) Bolden of Atlanta, GA; 10 nieces; 11 great nieces; 7 nephews; 8 great nephews; aunt, Barbara Hicks; cousins, special cousin, Albert Franklin of Atlanta, GA; Curtis Franklin of Flint; Mozell Johnson of Syracuse, NY; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Ulysses "Sonny" Blake, The McDonald family; Landers Pruitt, Fred McKinzie and George Wooten. Mr. Johnnie "Burnt House" Wright was preceded in death by parents, Henry Wright and Ella Bell (Johnson) Bolden and grandparents.
