Mr. John E. Donahue Sr.

DONAHUE, Mr. John E. Sr. - Age 47, passed away Friday, July 24, 2020 at Hurley Medical Center. John Edward Donahue Sr. was born March 14, 1973 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Rena Denise Donahue-Hobson. John was a resident of Flint, Michigan and graduated from the Job Corps. He was a Master Carpenter and Contractor. John loved to build, dance, sing, growing and riding his motorcycle. John also loved drawing and his dogs. He was very outspoken, outgoing and determined. He was family oriented and his only uncle/father made him into a man. John was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He put everything he had into his children. John loved his best friend and mother of his first 5 children, Martique Nicole Franklin. John Edward Donahue Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters and 6 sons, John Edward Donahue Jr., Michael Eugene Donahue, Johnesha Paulette Donahue, Markus Dante Donahue, Marquis Jamel Donahue, Jordan Xavier Donahue, Joh’Nea Deanna Donahue, Johnathon Emmanuel Donahue and Jameel Quran Assad Thomas; 5 step-children, Charley Allen Jr., Javario Demont Allen, Atlantis L.M. Allen, Jessica M. Allen and Tatana Nicole Brookins; grandchildren, Janelle Xavion Thomas, JahMeel A. Zion Thomas and Annette Jane Carson Donahue; mother, Rena Denise Donahue-Hobson; grandmother, Marion Greer; 3 sisters, Deanna Yvette Foster, Barbara Denise and Gloria Yvonne Marion Fox; nieces, Erica Porter, Erisha Porter, Eryania Porter, Tiara Brazill and Raven Brazill; nephew, Eric Porter; 5 aunts including, Elisabeth Hodge; uncle, Frank James Greer; 13 cousins including, Danjumar Greer, Fransisco Greer and Delilah Greer; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Kenneth Tumblin, Andrell Banks, Yolanda Addison, Latrice Thompson, Laquisha Smith, Jason Thompson, Curtis Thompson, Chris Thompson, Quanma Thompson, Alexander Thompson, Nakita Smith and Joseph Williamson. John was preceded in death by Marion Greer, Danjumar Greer, Hope Berlanda, Annette Franklin, Bernard Kelley, Venus Berlanda, Fanny Mae Layton and Jitis Thompson.
