NICHOLSON, Mr. Joddie, Jr. - Age 56, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 11AM Saturday, January 27, 2007 at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, 3020 Dupont St., with funeral service commencing at 12Noon. Dr. J.S. Hopkins officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11AM Saturday. Mr. Nicholson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mr. Joddie Nicholson, Jr. was born August 22, 1950 in Marianna, Arkansas, the son of Nellie Jane and Joddie Nicholson, Sr. Joddie graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1968. He was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. Joddie was retired from Buick and a member of UAW Local #599. He also was a music connoisseur, a friend and confidante. Mr. Joddie Nicholson, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters, Camiya Nicholson and Samecika (Nathaniel) Williams both of Flint; 2 grandchildren, Nathaniel Williams, Jr. and Nataevion Williams both of Flint; mother, Mrs. Nellie Jane Nicholson; 4 sisters, Clara (Joe) Blakely, Almeda Kay Nicholson and Terrance Curry of Flint, Hazel Wilson of Denver, CO, and Diane (Michael) Nicholson-Jones of Houston, TX; aunts, Mime (Charles) George, Alice Mae Sturdivant both of Chicago, IL, Delphia (Nathaniel) Willis of East St. Louis, IL, Inez (Theodore) Andrews, Mary (Dr. W.G.) Terry both of Flint, Dora Moss of Nashville, TN, Beatrice Gocher and Dorothy Moss both of Fort Worth, TX; brother-cousin, Lawrence Warren of Flint; 4 sisters-in-law, Loretta Hurd, Thelma (Ronald) Brown-Watts both of San Antonio, TX, Carolyn Brown and Brenda Blackburn of Flint; 4 brothers-in-law, Herman (Carolyn) Blackburn, Jr. of Grovetown, GA, Warren Brown, Dan (Jan) Brown, and Kenneth (Patricia) Brown all of Flint; a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends including special friends, Ms. Willie Mae Anderson and family, Mr. Delmus Harrington, Jesse (Althea) Halbert and Walter (Viola) Whidbee and family. Mr. Nicholson was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Blackburn) Nicholson; father, Joddie Nicholson, Sr.; and mother and father-in-law, Herman and Pazetta Blackburn, Sr.
