WEBSTER, Ms. JoAnn - Age 66, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at her residence. Family hour 1:30 PM Saturday, September 3, 2022 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral services commencing at 2:00 PM. Pastor Alvin Bradford, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Chapel 1:30 PM Saturday. Ms. Webster will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Ms. JoAnn Webster was born August 28, 1955 in West Helena, Arkansas, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy and Johnnie Mae (Simmons) Webster. JoAnn was a longtime member of the Upper Room Missionary Baptist Church. She obtained a Bachelor Degree from Rochester College. JoAnn worked as an Early Childhood Teacher in the Beecher Community Schools for 29 years and 6 months. Ms. Webster was an active member of Upper Room Missionary Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher, Finance Committee Member, Outreach Ministry and helped with Vacation Bible School. She also worked as the Mission President with the Great Lakes Baptist District and with the Finance Department as Finance Secretary for many years. If you knew JoAnn you knew that she loved to spend time with family, going to church and shopping. Ms. JoAnn Webster leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Kawanda Webster (Jeffrey Land, future son-in-law); son, Kevin (Csantecia) Webster; grandchildren, LePrecious K. Moore-Webster, Dale D. Johnson Jr., Keishayla L. Webster and Devin D. Webster; great-grandchildren, Derrick Mitchelle-Moore, Dayla Moore, Laila Moore, Aubrielle Middleton and Amiylah M. Johnson; sisters, Johnnie Mae Webster, Doris Webster, Juanita (Jessie) Taylor; sister-in-law, Ruthie Webster; Patsy (Linnon) McMullen; Anthony (Ruthie) Webster whom she helped raise; brother, Moses Webster; god-daughter, Tiesha Woods; a host of nieces, special niece, Tenice Lawson; a host of nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Ms. Webster was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy and Johnnie Mae (Simmons) Webster; sister, Okredies C. Rucker; brothers, Willie Webster, and J.W. Webster Sr.; sister-in-law, Pearlie Webster; brother-in-law, Rubbie Rucker Sr.
