LYMON, Mrs. Joann - Age 53, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 1:30PM Wednesday, November 1, 2006 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2PM. Eld. James Sanders officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Mrs. Lymon will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 1PM-8PM Tuesday. Mrs. Joann Lymon was born May 22, 1953 in Hammond, Indiana, the daughter of Luke and Modena Ward. Mrs. Lymon loved life and her children. Her hobbies included shopping, especially on QVC, collecting clowns, masks and watching her grandchildren. Mrs. Joann Lymon leaves to cherish her memory: longtime friend, companion and devoted husband, Windell Pete; precious daughter, Orrieal Pete; devoted son, Windell Pete, II; father, Luke (Dot) Ward of Hammond, IN; godson, Harold (Winkie) Morgan; 6 sisters, Louise Walters, Catherine Dorsey, Valerie (James) Riley, Gail (Leon) Brydson, Avanell (Mike) Jackson and Tami (Harlon) Alston, all of Flint; 5 brothers, Larry (Delores) Ward of Columbus, GA, Luke (Lisa) Ward, Gregory Alston, Chester (Shirley) Ward and Kim (Elaine) Ward, all of Flint; 6 grandchildren, Joyanna (Desmond), Deottric, Deonika, Duane, Jasmine and Daytona; 2 great-grandchildren, Armani and Nino; mother and father-in-law, Marcel and Kathy Pete of New Orleans, LA; 42 nieces and nephews especially Eddie Walters, Jr.; 5 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law; a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends including special friends, Sylvester, Velton, Josephine, Latana, Bethel, Bert, Archie, Mrs. Ethel Lymon, Denise, Henry, Kathy, Beverly, Thomas, Marcus, Carolyn, Paula, Marlene and extremely good friend Norma.
