AUBREY, Mr. Jessie J. - Age 78, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30AM Monday, October 24, 2005 at Judah Full Gospel Baptist Church, G-5380 Pierson Rd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Pastor Benny Stribling officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Monday. Mr. Aubrey will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10AM-8PM Sunday. Mr. Jessie J. Aubrey was born on January 28, 1927 in Magnolia, Arkansas, the son of Hiram Aubrey and Mattie Davis. Royal Star Chapter #27 order of the Eastern Star welcomed him as a member in 1968, and he served well and became a Worthy Patron in 1971 and 1973. In the Masonic Fraternal order, Mr. Jessie J. Aubrey served as Worshipful Master of Eureka Lodge #16 F&AM Prince Hall Affiliation in 1970 and served well. Jessie was a past Grand Royal Advisor of Prince Hall Grand Guild of H.O.T.C.P.H.A. Michigan Jurisdiction. He loved fishing, working on cars, playing dominoes, and spending time with his family. He always made sure his kids were taken care of first. Mr. Jessie J. Aubrey leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Raynell Stribling of Swartz Creek, MI; 2 sons, Rev. Roger (Antoinette) Alvin Aubrey of Flint, and Terry Lee Aubrey and family of White Lake, MI; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Mamie Woodmore of Magnolia, AK; brother, Effie Aubrey of San Pablo, CA; a host of other nieces including Vernice (Aubrey) Jackson, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Lula and Dee Dee Aubrey, Rita Holt and mother of his children, Ella Aubrey. Mr. Jessie J. Aubrey was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Mattie Aubrey; son, Jerry Lee Aubrey; grandson, Zandy Aubrey; sisters, Gertrude Perry, and Verda Blake; brothers, Tommy, K.C., Marshall, Hiram and J.D. Aubrey. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Bachuwa and Staff, Hurley Hospital ICU Nurses and the Davita Dialysis Staff.
