SIPLIN, Mr. Jerry, Jr. - Age 64, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 12Noon Friday, November 5, 2010 at Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 2211 Stedron St., with funeral service commencing at 12:30 p.m., Bro. Michael Harris officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Kingdom Hall at12Noon Friday. Mr. Siplin will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon - 8 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Jerry Siplin, Jr. was born November 1, 1945 in Plant City, Florida, the son of Jerry and Doris (Brown) Siplin, Sr. Jerry was a resident of Flint, Michigan. He was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness in 2008 and was a member of the Riverside Park Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Jerry attended Flint Public Schools. He was employed by Pinnacle Foods in Imlay City, retiring in 2006. Jerry enjoyed studying the Bible, especially with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed cooking, observing the wonders of nature and talking to friends and family. He was loving, sharing, funny, knowledgeable and outgoing. Mr. Jerry Siplin, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Janice Siplin; daughter, Sonya Mack (Calvin), all of Flint; son, Vanterro (Donna) Siplin of Snellville, GA; 6 grandchildren, Chrisondra, Latoyia, Christopher Jr., and Lateqa Mack, Demetrius Miller, all of Flint and Amari Siplin of Snellville, GA; great-grandson, Davarius Griffin of Flint; sister, Geraldine Sharp; brother, James Siplin, both of Pontiac, MI; 6 nieces; 10 nephews; 5 sisters-in-law, Frances Mabry, Michaele Nelson, Raye (Samuel) Baker, Delorie Porter and Robin (Clyde) Thompson; brother-in-law, Robert Deloney, Jr.; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friend, Roosevelt “Hippo” Green. Mr. Siplin was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Siplin, Sr; mother, Doris Siplin; brother, Jackie Siplin; grandmother, Lena Brown; mother and father-in-law, Ada and Robert Deloney; and brother-in-law, Willis Sharp. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center ICU Nurses.
