EMBRY, Mr. Jerry Lee - Age 77, passed away Friday, October 28, 2005 at his residence. Family hour 11AM Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at Heavenly Host Full Gospel Baptist Church, 2202 W. Dartmouth St., with funeral service commencing at 12Noon. Bishop M.C. Akins, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11AM Wednesday. Mr. Embry will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Tuesday. Mr. Jerry Lee Embry was born on August 8, 1928 in Talledega, Alabama the son of Horace and Mamie Embry. He was a resident of Flint and was employed with Flint Truck and Bus Group for 37 years. Mr. Embry was a faithful member of Heavenly Host Full Gospel Baptist Church, where he sang with the Male Choir and served on the church Security Staff. Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, working on cars, and watching sports on television. Mr. Jerry Lee Embry leaves to cherish his memory: 4 daughters, Jerry Diane (Donald) Stevens, Monica (Gabriel) Dunson, all of Flint, Sharon (Franklin) Embry-King of Charlotte, NC, Gayle (Joe) Ellis of Lancaster, CA; 2 sons, Orlando (Sonya) Embry, and Orrendo (Yvonne) Embry, all of Flint; godson, Jerome Teverbaugh of Flint; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Ruth Newton; 4 brothers, Ulysses and Curtis Embry, Robert Thomas, Robert Jones; a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Jerry Lee Embry was preceded in death by his wife, Dollie Katherine; parents, Horace and Mamie Embry; sisters, Beulah Phillips, Lorraine Mosley, Martha Hoarsley, Cora Pointer, Mattie Embry; brothers, James and Earnest Embry, and Versey Reynolds. The family would like to express special thanks to Jerome Teverbaugh, Mary Lamb, and the Peppers and Chapman Families, Bishop M.C. Akins and Heavenly Host Full Gospel Baptist Church Family and friends, Pastor Johnnie Brown and Greater Bethlehem Ministries Family, Hurley Medical Center 9E Oncology Floor, Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute Doctors and Staff, and visiting Nurses of McLaren Health Services.
