THOMAS, Ms. Jereline R. - Age 78, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025, at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, MI. Family hour 10:00 AM Monday, July 28, 2025, at Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle, 930 E. Myrtle Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Stephen L. Murphy, Officiant, with the Rev. Wendell Griffen Eulogist. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10:00 AM Monday. Ms. Thomas will lie in state at the church Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle. Public Viewing will be held only during the family hour. Jereline Regina Thomas was born September 18, 1946, in Antoine, Arkansas, the daughter of Ruby and Edgar Jones. Jereline accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and became a member of Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle of Flint, Michigan under the late Pastor A. J. Pointer. She served faithfully as an Usher. Jereline worked in the Steel Storage Dept. at Grand Blanc Metal Center, a division of General Motors Corporation, for twenty-nine years and retired January 1, 2006. Jereline enjoyed receiving pictures and watching videos of her great-granddaughter. She also enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune Game Shows, playing Spades, Bid Whist and spending time with her children. Jereline Regina Thomas leaves to cherish her memory daughters Fra Thomas of Mt. Morris, Michigan, Jacqueline Thomas of Killeen, Texas and LaToya Thomas of Clio, Michigan; grandchildren, SonSaree Thomas of San Antonio, Texas and DaJanee Thomas of Killeen, Texas; great-grandchild, Oaklynn Thomas of Killeen, TX; siblings, Ruby Harrell-Hollinger, Sally Williams, and Catherine Reed; and a host of nieces and nephews; aunt, Ruthel Dickerson of Flushing, MI; former husband, Charles Thomas Sr. along with his children’s siblings, Dr. Charles Thomas Jr. and Clara Thomas; and a host of other relatives and friends including, the Jones and Maze Families. Jereline was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Edgar Jones; siblings, Charlie Ray Gentry, Perry Jones, Mildred Payne and Ida Mae Gentry.
