TURNER, Mr. Jeffery Scott - Age 56, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Ascension-Genesys. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, June 15, 2024, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 10:30 AM. Intermet Sunset Hills Association, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Turner will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Friday, with family present to receive friends from 4:00 PM-6 :00 PM. Jeffery Scott Turner was born September 6, 1967 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Charles and Jacqueline Turner. He was the oldest grandson in the Turner and Williams family. Jeff attended Flint Community Schools, Dewey Elementary, Whittier Junior High School, Flint Central, Flint Northwestern, and Schools of Choice High Schools, later receiving his GED. He was introduced to Christ at an early age and attended Pasadena Church of God. Jeffery was a people person, he never met a stranger. He enjoyed gathering with friends and family. Jeffery also enjoyed listening to music (rap and the oldies), playing Domino’s, video games, cards and watching movies. He enjoyed going to Cedar Point, car shows and traveling when he could. Jeff will be remembered for his laughter, his ability to have a good time wherever he went and for aiding others whenever he could. Jeffery enjoyed dancing in his early years and was given the nickname “Snake”, because of his pop-lock dance moves. Jeffery Scott Turner leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Jacqueline Turner; sisters, Kimberly and Sheena; brother, Jason Turner; uncles, James and Luther Turner, Harold (Dorothy) Williams, Marvin, Clayton, Jimmy, and Clarence Williams, all of Atlanta, GA, Michael Marks of Nashville, TN, Harry O. and Hector Williams, both of Flint; aunts, Lillie Mae Barnes, Annie Ruth Barnes, Doris (Bishop Calvin) Colquitt, Brenda and Patricia Smith, Shirley Williams, Gwen Turner, Barbara (Andrew) Stevens, all of Atlanta, GA, Marlene (Earnest) Williams, Mary (Berlyn) Kidd, Olga Jones and Tekilla (Keith) Reaves, all of Flint; nieces, Jalia, Zamaria and Sofia; nephews, Jadon and Joaquin, both of Ohio; great-niece, Laila Jae. Jeffery is survived by his numerous cousins and special lifelong friends, Rebecca Shank, Nate Reese, Issac Hudson and his Dewey School friends. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Charles “Radio” Turner; grandmothers, Jneedo Williams and Lena Williams; grandparents, Luther and Annie Turner; and many other relatives.
