TAYLOR, Mrs. Jean "Blondy" - Age 64, passed away Friday, February 15, 2008. Memorial service 2PM Friday, February 22, 2008 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., Dr. K.D. Yarber, officiating. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 2PM Friday. There will be no public viewing. Ms. Jean "Blondy" Taylor was born February 11, 1944 in the Province of St. Maurice, Louisiana, the daughter of Dorothy (James H. Ellison EL) and Leman Taylor, Sr. Ms. Taylor was baptized at an early age and had last attended Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church. "Blondy" graduated from Flint Northern High School and attended Central State University in Wilberforce, OH "Class of 1962-63". She was employed at Chevrolet Manufacturing for 18 years. "Blondy" married C.F. Smith and their union brought forth two sons, Alan and Antony "Stub". She enjoyed people and loved to cook. Some of pastimes were working in her garden and playing cards. "Blondy" was extremely fond of fishing and bowling? a beautiful memory of her was when she got that 7-10 split. She was an avid sportsperson, softball was one of her games, position held was first baseman. "Blondy" played in several leagues with such teams as "Julies Pawnshop", "Fish King All-Stars", and "the "Honda Bees". "Blondy" devoted a great deal of her time to caring for her son, Alan, her mother, step-dad, Daddy James and also her very, very special friend, Mr. Oscar Britt. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Alan Smith; mother, Dorothy (James H. Ellison El); 2 sisters, Jessie Ann Ellison and Marily Sue (Floyd) Patterson, all of Flint; 4 brothers, Gregory (Debra) Taylor, Leman (Dawn) Taylor, Jr., Thomas Nash, all of New Mexico, and James and (Ann) Ellison, Jr. of Pine Bluff, AR; aunts, Sarah Davis of Detroit, MI, Eddie Mae Gray and Gertrude Lewis both of Houston, TX; uncle, W.B. Ellison of Chicago, IL; special cousins, Pricalla "Puddin" Grey, Fay Davis of Detroit, Charles, Jimmie and Reginald Winslow, of Flint and Troy, MI, Dorothy Robinson of Houston, TX, B.J. Jones of Alabama, RayAlfred Jones of Florida; special friends, Shirley Luckado-McReynolds, Wendy Poole, Patty Pennyman, Bea Westbrook, Jimmy Lacy "BKA Cuz", The Matthews family, Lynn Williams, Big Bean "BKA Beano", Bradley family, Quincy McKnight, Teresa, The Dickey family, Ross family, Clint Coleman and Nette; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, other relatives and friends. Ms. Taylor was preceded in death by son, Antony C. "Stub" Smith; father, Leman Taylor, Sr.; grandmothers, Ellen Carr and Maggie Lewis; grandfather, Dee Lewis; cousins, Artie Gay Bernard, Kevin Davis and Elihue Lever-Bey; step-sister, Regina Ellison.
