Jayna Euwing

EUWING, Ms. Jayna M. - Age 37, passed away Friday November 5, 2010 at Genesys Health Park. Family Hour 10 a.m. Friday November 12, 2010 at Full Gospel Christian Church, 5901 Martin Luther King Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m., Dr. James Wheeler, Officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m. Friday. Ms. Euwing will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Thursday. Ms. Jayna M. Euwing was born July 23, 1973 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Herbert F. Colen, Jr. and Patricia A. Euwing. Jayna accepted Christ at an early age and during her young adulthood, she made her church home at the Full Gospel Christian Church. Jayna attended Flint Public Schools, graduating from Southwestern Academy High School. She was employed at Kroger Supermarket, Inc. As a young woman, Jayna also loved to volunteer with the Autism Society Chapter of Flint. She was witty and fun loving, once you met her, you were her friend forever. Jayna loved watching movies, gathering with family and friends, playing cards, games and texting. She was a loving and devoted mother to her only child, Ayana. Jayna loved communicating and inspiring others; that was her gift. She was a tenacious and determined young lady. Jayna also loved music, writing poems and shopping. Through it all Jayna kept her smile and humor. She will always be our hero. Ms. Jayna M. Euwing leaves to cherish her memory: precious daughter, Ayana; father, Herbert F. Colen (Fiance, Victor), all of Atlanta, GA, Nichele Moses of Kalamazoo, MI, Tasha Johnson of Big Rapids, MI and Fallon Brand of Flint; brothers, Christopher A. Euwing of Lake Charles, LA, Herbert F. (Melissa) Colen III of Elgin, IL, Alfred Jones of Flint, Deon Jones of Washington, D.C., Darius (Tiffany) Benjamin of Jenison, MI, Tennarius Colen of South Carolina, Dequan Chapman, Jeffery (Diane) Hawkins, all of Flint, Laurence Colen of San Diego, CA, Christopher D. (Jaquetta) Williams of Flint, James F. Colen of New York, Michael F. Ms. Euwing was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia A. Euwing; grandmother, Mary Lorene (Colen) Johnson; and grandfather, Herbert F.
