BROWN, Mrs. Jamie - Age 51, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2013 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Rev. Howard Johnson officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the Funeral Home 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Brown will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. Monday. Ms. Jamie Elizabeth Brown was born February 14, 1962 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Fred and Josephine Brown. Jamie was raised in Otter Lake, MI, moving to Flint in 1976 where she attended Flint Public Schools, graduating from Southwestern High School, Class of 1980. Jamie loved watching the Food Network and also entertaining family and friends. She was a member of South Flint Tabernacle. Ms. Jamie Elizabeth Brown leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Shawntele (Brandon) Taylor and Tichinay Brown; 2 sons, Cornilus (Kaosha) Brown and Amos (Ashley) Brown all of Flint; 7 grandchildren, Kentwoyn, Christopher, Cornelius Jr., Treasure, Braylan, Amos Jr., Khortavion and Zamarian; 2 sisters, Freda (Thomas) Pugh and Diane (Dell) Brown; 2 brothers, Ronald (Rosalita) Pugh and Fred (Shelia) Brown; 12 nieces, Tamika, Taliah, Gina, Kim, Alisha, Arnetta, Maketa, Roneicha, Latoya, Victoria, Rashawn and Andrea; 14 nephews, Antwan, Cedrick, Kentwayn, Corey, Antonio, Michael, Cliffton, Ronald, Steven, Lamar, Eric, Fredrick and LaStar; special cousins, Beverly, Tina, Michael, James, Gregory, and Victor all of Flint; Jamie, Eric, Noal, and Sonny Moore all of Bennetsville, SC; 6 sisters-in-law, Anita S., Jenifer O., Diane W., Rose W., Renee B. and Joann W.; 2 brothers-in-law, Carl Word and Chris Word; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, the Wilder, Ferrell, Hardaway, Cheeks and Davis families; special friends, Betty Swinehart and Anita Marshall; god sister, Charlesetta; god niece, Tasha; godsons, Darius and Dominique and god sister, Laquitta. Ms. Jamie Elizabeth Brown was preceded in death by parents, Fred and Josephine Brown; son, Kirk Briggs Jr., brother, Michael Brown; many aunts, uncles and other relatives.
