WILSON, Mr. James Farley - Age 55, passed away Friday, October 21, 2005. Family hour 10:30AM Friday, October 28, 2005 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11:00AM. Pastor Fletcher Johnson, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Friday. Mr. Wilson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Thursday. Mr. James F. Wilson was born January 1, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Woodrow and Julia Wilson, Sr. He graduated from Flint Northwestern High School, "Class of 1968." He retired in 2002 as Account Manager of SPO, a division of General Motors Corporation. He was employed with Diamond retail assembling in Home Depot stores. James (affectionately known as "Big Jim of the North") enjoyed family gatherings, fishing and hunting. Mr. James F. Wilson leaves to cherish his memory: wife of 35 years, Shirley; 3 sons, Paul Rutherford of Dallas, TX, James F. Wilson of Columbus, OH, and Michael (Alma) Wilson of Flint; goddaughter, Shai Teanna Taylor; granddaughter, Shanta Crenshaw; great-grandson, Monroe Gates III; 6 sisters, Theresa (Henry) Royster, Erma Johnson, Maxine Summers, Carolene (Weldon) Sharp, Gloria Redmond, and Dora Weston; 3 brothers, Woodrow (Minnie) Wilson Jr., Willie, and Alvin (Helen) Wilson; mother-in-law, Rosie Rutherford; father-in-law, Thurmon (Acie) Rutherford; sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Sylvester) Pollard, Barb Sims, Patricia Thompson, Stella Rutherford, and Heidi (Ray) Williams, Celestine, and Ella; brothers-in-law, Steve, and Bobbie Rutherford, Arthur, Johnie and Lacie Brown; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Rick, Lee, Otis, Guy and Robert. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Julia Wilson, Sr. The family would like to express special thanks to First New Life Baptist Church family, New St. James Memorial Church of God in Christ family, and numerous individuals and organizations that have expressed their heartfelt sympathy's.
