Mr. James Percy Moore Jr.

MOORE, Mr. James Percy Jr. - Age 53, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, January 16, 2021 at New Creation Church of God, 3472 Lennon Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Moore will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Mr. James Percy Moore Jr. was born May 27, 1967 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Elder James Percy Sr. and Hattie Moore. After graduating from Flint Central High School, James moved to Columbus, OH where he attended DeVry Institute of Technology. James received a Certificate in Heating and Cooling. He migrated back to Flint where he met the loved of his life, Darlene Jackson. James and Darlene moved to Monroe, LA where they married in 2002 and from this union he gained 2 step-daughters, Lanesia and Nakesha Jackson. For the past 9 years he worked as a devout employee for General Motors Corporation. James was also a member of Bethel Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Kansas City, MO. In his spare time he loved cooking, traveling, completing household projects and spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his 4 grandchildren. Mr. James Percy Moore Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Darlene Jackson; 2 step-daughters, Lanesia Jackson and Nakesha Jackson; grandchildren, Kaleah, Kamryn, Carter and Isaiah, all of Kansas City, MO; parents, Elder James Percy Sr. and Hattie Moore; sister, Deaconess Tonya D. Moore-Smith; brother, Clarence D. Moore; 5 nieces, Regine, Reshawn, D’Asia, Tasanta and Jasmine, all of Flint; 2 nephews, Christopher Smith and Dennis (Shonequa) Jackson II; 6 aunts; 2 uncles; a host of cousins including special cousins, Dorian Grady and Paul Wilson; god-son, Treyvun’tae Lee; mother and father-in-law, John and Gloria Conley; brother-in-law, Dennis (Carol) Jackson; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Tierney Taylor and Marlon Moseley. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence and Daisy Moore; maternal grandparents, James Wilson and Janie Jones-Wilson; 4 aunts; and 4 uncles.
