JETTER, Mr. James Robert, Jr. - Age 74, passed away Friday, February 8, 2008 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30AM Saturday, February 16, 2008 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Saturday. Mr. Jetter will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mr. James Robert Jetter, Jr. was born October 1, 1933 in Crenshaw, Mississippi, the son of James and Evelyn Jetter, Sr. Mr. Jetter retired in 1995 after 43 years of employment at AC Spark Plug and was a member of UAW Local #651. He was an avid reader, loved to watch sports and listen to music. James was a loving family man with a warm heart. He was an awesome provider, a good listener, patient, and very humble. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. Mr. James Robert Jetter, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: loving and devoted wife of 52 wonderful years, Edna Jetter; 3 daughters, Linda (Darris) Berry of Fenton, MI, Deborah (Alonzo) Simpkins of Grand Blanc, MI and Sharon West of Flint Twp, MI; son, Britt Tyrone (Alizabeth) Jetter of Sacramento, CA; 14 grandchildren, Kendirall, Christopher, Landris, Shalonda, Dont'a, Charnell, De?Andris, De'Aundre, Alexus, Rotanda, Alonzo, Shawn, Amber and Austin; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Jetter of Detroit, MI; 2 aunts, Lelia Caldwell of Flint and Helen Gamble of Atlanta, GA; 3 sisters-in-law, Sammie Ella Tabron-Johnson of Mt. Morris, MI, Marie Cole of Flint and Mary Martin of Chicago, IL; brother-in-law, James Martin of Los Angeles, CA; a host of nieces including 2 nieces, LaTonya C. Jetter and Shalone (Geoffrey) Umeojiego of Detroit, MI; nephews, cousins and friends including special friends, Bill Dennis and JoNell West. Mr. Jetter was preceded in death by his son, Robert Keith "Ke-Ke" Jetter; daughter, Patricia Ann Martin; grandson, Phillip Martin; father, James Jetter, Sr.; mother, Evelyn Lipscomb; and brother, Ricky Lipscomb.
