Mr. James Isaiah

ISAIAH, Mr. James - Age 54, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with memorial service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10 a.m. Thursday. Mr. Isaiah will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. James Isaiah was born on October 8, 1960 in Clarksdale, Mississippi, the son of Isabella Hargrove and John Henry Banks. He was a resident of Flint, Michigan, finished high school and went to college for 2 years. He was employed at Kroger as a security guard for more than 14 years. James loved to sing and dance; Michael Jackson was his favorite artist. He was a follower of the Baptist church. He was outgoing, funny and a joy to be around. James had a soft spot for small children. He was very clean; nobody could clean a house like him. Mr. James Isaiah leaves to cherish his memory: 3 daughters, Jamie Issac of Clarksdale, MS, Katrina Sharp of Milwaukee, WI and Jasmine Counts of Flint; son, Travis Hall of Clarksdale, MS; 2 grandchildren of Clarksdale, MS; sister, Carrie Stringer of Flint; 3 brothers, Louis of Indiana, Leon of Tennessee, and David of Clarksdale, MS; 5 nieces, Michelle and Joanna, both of Flint, Jessica and Jelisa Issac, both of Clarksdale, MS, and Daviana Issac; 6 nephews, Jeff, Eric and Leo Stringer, all of Flint, Elijah Smith of Kansas City, Johnny Smith, Jr. of Clarksdale, MS and Louis Issac, Jr. of Chicago, IL; 4 aunts, Willie Mae Waters of Tennessee, Christine Fields of Las Vegas, NV, Pearlie Stringer of Flint and Odessa Fields of Chicago, IL; 2 uncles, Curtis and Earnest Fields, both of Chicago, IL; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Bridget Phipps, Walter Stringer, Angela Allen and Ben Hall. Mr. James Isaiah was preceded in death by: mother, Isabella Hargrove; father, James Henry Banks; grandparents, Christine and Willie Fields; and brother, Johnny Smith. The family would like to express special thanks to the nurses and doctors at McLaren Hospital.
