James Crain

CRAIN, Mr. James - Age 59, passed away Monday, July 11, 2005 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 10AM Monday, July 18, 2005 at First Union Baptist Church, 7004 Fleming Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Min. Samuel Crain officiating. Rev. Archie Powell, Jr., Pastor. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10AM Monday. Mr. Crain will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 8AM-6PM Sunday. Mr. James L. Crain was born on July 21, 1945 in Rison, Arkansas, the son of Willie Crain and Genoria Johnson. James was a faithful member of First Union Baptist Church, where he sang in the male chorus and attended Bible Study and Sunday School regularly. James was an entrepreneur, that was well known for his dedication and creativity in the art of upholstery. He was also a good barber in Rison, AR. Mr. James L. Crain leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Rosalind S. Crain; 2 daughters, Tiffany and Ciara; 4 sons, James "Terry", Antonio, Ronald and Jeremiah; 2 grandsons, Daqwantay and DeMario; 5 sisters, Mary Hopkins of Chicago, IL, Doris (Joe) Taylor of New York, NY, Felix Ann (Ervin) Lee of Kingsland, AR, Birdett Crain of Rison, AR and Marilyn (Eddie) Block of Crossett, AR; 3 brothers, Hoover (Linda) Crain of Little Rock, AR, Rev. Samuel (Lettie) Crain of Rison, AR and Marvin (Barbara) Crain of Kingsland, AR; mother-in-law, Joyce Mae Miller; sister-in-law, Crystal L. Walker; brother-in-law, Keith A. Miller; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Lisa Thompson, Doris Chapman, Sandy Mushatt and Robert Howard. Mr. James L. Crain was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Crain, Sr.; and brothers, Willie Crain, Jr., Wheeler and Calvin Crain. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Hunt and McLaren Regional Medical Center, the First Union Baptist Church family, Pastor A.
