BONNER, Mr. James, Sr. - Age 60, passed away Monday, March 14, 2005 at his residence. Family hour 1:30PM Saturday, March 19, 2005 at Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2PM. Minister Sanford Hoyle, officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30pm, Saturday. Mr. Bonner now lies in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed 12 noon - 8pm today. Mr. James "Jimmy" Bonner, Sr. was born October 29, 1944 in Flint, Michigan, he was the son of the late Seabon and Marcelle (Walker) Bonner, Sr. Mr. Bonner was a resident of Flint, Michigan, where he was a former student of Flint Central High School. Mr. Bonner was employed at Buick City and later transferring to General Motors in Willow Run for 28 years. "Jimmy" loved bowling, fishing, swimming and most of all he loved to spend time with all his family and friends. Mr. James Edward Bonner, Sr. leaves to cherish his memory; special companion, Theresa Jordan; 4 daughters, Marion Bonner, Monique Bonner both of Flint, MI, Thealda (Warren) Latham of Antioch, TN, Dionna Bonner of Indianapolis, IN; 2 sons, James Bonner, Jr. and Maurice (Vonda) Bonner; 3 stepchildren, Veronica Jordan all of Flint, MI, Ronald Jordan of Detroit, MI and Theresa (Floyd) Bolds of Waycross, GA; 26 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Shirley Sharp and Linda (Wesley) Moore; brother, Robert (Mattie) Bonner; 2 aunts, Rev. Rebecca Bonner and Marion Miller both of Flint, host of nieces; nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends; Smoots, Mays, Nelson,and Walker families, 2 special sons, Nathaniel Pitts and Jason Holley, both of Laurel, MD. Mr. Bonner was preceded in death by wife, Doristine Bonner; brother, Seabon Bonner, Jr.; parents, Seabon and Marcelle Bonner, Sr.; grandparents. Rev. Gus and Mary Nelson; and brother-in-law, Leroy Sharp. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. John Eckenrode, Dr. Louis Jacobs and staff, Heartland Hospice and Oakwood Medical Centers.
