BELL, Mr. James - Age 57, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011 in Memphis, Tennessee. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2011 at Greater Galilee Baptist Church, 4418 Industrial Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Latrelle Holmes officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 a.m. Monday. Mr. Bell will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Sunday. Mr. James Lee Bell was born on April 16, 1953 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Frank and Erma J. Bell. James attended Northwestern and Montrose High Schools. Mr. James Lee Bell leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Mitoya Clark; 3 grandchildren; mother, Erma J. Bell; sister, Pearl (Sammy) Harris of West Pointe, MS; 2 brothers, Frank Bell, Jr. and Frank Edward Bell of Chicago, IL; 7 aunts, Freda (Dandre) Williams, Lorene Randall and Vivian Holmes, all of Flint, Sylvia (JD) Avery of Henderson, NV, Ann (Jesse) Glenn, Beverly (Charles) Clinton, Sandra (Steve) Jones, all of Memphis, TN; 5 uncles, Hardin (Virginia) Holmes of Detroit, MI, Lawrence (Marcia) Ratliff, James Ratliff, all of Flint, Bobby (Anna) Ellis, Jimmy (Shirley) Ellis, all of Memphis, TN; mother of his daughter, Marcella Clark; special cousins, Rev. Latrelle (Veta) Holmes of Flint; close friends, Mike Green, JC Hill, Charles Hill and Richard Seaman, Rev. and Mrs. Leonard Palmer and Family, Mrs. Dessie Johnson and Family, Mrs. Josephine Taylor and Family, Clara Williams, Mrs. Ossie Smith; a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his father, Frank Bell, Sr.; grandfathers, Jimmy Ellis and James Ratliff; grandmothers, Lelah Ratliff and Mangie Lee Bell; uncles, Ernest (Skeeter) Holmes, Willie Bell, Sam Bell, Charlie Bell, Frank Randall, III. and Calvin Ratliff; aunts, Alice Brooks and Jeanette Ratliff. The family would like to give special thanks to Rev. Leonard Palmer, Pastor Latrelle Holmes for his guidance and Greater Galilee Baptist Church Family for their generous hospitality during our time of need.
