NELSON, Ms. Jacqueline - Age 47, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Eld. Theodis Jones officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10 a.m. Friday. Ms. Nelson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12 noon-8 p.m. Thursday. Ms. Jacqueline Denise Nelson was born June 21, 1965 in Bloomburg, Texas to the union of Patrick and Para Nelson. Jacqueline was the fourth of five girls. She was the mother of Anthony Nelson and Jacquella Nelson and the grandmother of Miyahna Nelson, Aniya Nelson and Ali’yonah Veal Nelson. Jacqueline loved dancing, baseball and playing dominos. Jacqueline was a member of clubhouse 106. She was a graduate of Northwestern High School class of 1983, and also attended Mott Community College. Ms. Jacqueline D. Nelson leaves to cherish her sweet memories: grandmother, Modessie Lane of Bloomburg, TX; 4 sisters, Linda Nelson of Mt. Morris, MI, Dorothy and Patricia Nelson and Brenda Brooks, all of Flint; brother, Shiloh Tanner Nelson of Flint; niece, Nikie Nelson; nephews, Lorenzo and Cedric Nelson, both of Flint; aunts, Shirley Harris of Bloomburg, TX, Barbara Nelson, Cora Harden, Emma Webb, Betty Ruth, Bobbie Lane and Earnest Jenkins, all of Flint; uncles, Johnnie (Alzay) Lane of St. Louis, MO and Jimmy (Zepha) Nelson of Flint; cousins, Trenton (Nicole) Harris of Jacksonville, FL, Tamisha Laster of Houston, TX, Sonya Larry of Flint, Rodney Shepard of Atlanta, TX, Kim and Niki Nelson of Flint, Joyce (Rev. Tom) Price of Alabama, Ralph Jr. (Phyllis) Nelson, Shelia Nelson, Janet Nelson, Cathereen Abraham and Monzell, all of Detroit, MI; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Mechelle Shipp, Pamela Traye, Janeen Wheeler, Dineyale Sanders, Charles Shepard Jr., Blacknold and best friend, Anita Tidwell, all of Flint; God children, Quayona Anderson, Shelita Brown and Jamon Sanders.
