RIDGELL BOYCE, Mrs. Jacqueline M. - Age 60, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Ascension Genesys. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Prayer Garden Church of God In Christ, 3918 Fleming Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Bishop Jerry Givens, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Saturday, October 5, 2024. Mrs. Boyce will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Friday, October 4, 2024, with family present to receive friends from 4:00 PM--6:00 PM. Mrs. Jacqueline Ridgell Boyce was born February 1, 1964 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Jarrett and Willa Ridgell. Jacqueline was united in Holy Matrimony to Donald Boyce. She was a resident of Flint, Michigan and a member of Prayer Garden Church Of God In Christ. Jacqueline attended Detroit College of Business and obtained a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice. She loved to color, swim, go horseback riding, reading, outdoors, cooking, playing cards, music and dancing. Jacqueline also loved going to church and spending time with her grandkids.. She was very funny, loving, active, prayerful, faithful and a pure fighter. Mrs. Jacqueline Ridgell Boyce leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Donald Boyce of Mt. Morris, MI; daughter, LaToya (Donnie) Scott of Phoenix, AZ; 2 sons, Demetrious (Christina) Ridgell of Montreal, Canada and Donald Boyce Jr. of Flint; grandchildren, Kawan, Mallayah, Furious, all of Phoenix, AZ, Olivia, Isabella and Isaac, all of Montreal, Canada, DeMontay of Flint, MI; sisters, Pam of Arizona, Sabrina of Michigan, Lisa Battle of Tennessee, Lesia Fisher of Florida and the Murphy Sisters; 2 brothers, Joseph Hillard and Jamal Harper “Baby Boy”; great-nieces, Shani, Mareo Jr. Creshawn, Smarya; Alexis, April, Shakirah, Quincy and Daeshonay; 3 nephews, Amondo Hilliard, Ashton and Jayvon, all of Detroit, MI; aunt, Irene (Royal) Simmons; 2 uncles, James and Calvin Jr.; cousins, Pumpkin, Lester Ollison Jr., Clair & James Johnson; mother and father-in-law, Dorothy Boyce and Billy Boyce; sister-in-law, Glenda (Derek) Boyce; a host of other relatives and friends including special family and friends, Belinda Mays and family, Wantda, Rondey, Bates Rd. friends, Hamidah, Candace, Misty, Alexis, Muff, Chico, Quincy, Austinae, Cherry Givens and the Givens family and the entire Prayer Garden COGIC family, the Murphy family, Frances Robertson, the Towner and Scott family, Bay-Bay, Donna & Debbie family, Kelly family, De De and family, the Blanks family, Elain & family.
