WILSON, Mr. Jackie Lavern - Age 52, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at his residence. Family hour 10AM Thursday, December 20, 2018 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Chapel 10AM Thursday. Mr. Wilson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral and may be viewed 12PM-8PM Wednesday. Mr. Jackie Lavern Wilson “Jack Frost” was born May 8, 1966 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Elbert and Ethel Lee (Brewton) Wilson. He attended Flint Northwestern High School and was a Machine Operator. Jackie was employed at La-Z-Boy Furniture. He was a jack-of-all-trades and a people person. Jackie enjoyed fishing, sports, watching TV and spending time with his family and friends. He loved his wife and family. Jackie also loved being around his grand kids, special cousin, Sylena Horne, Cozetta Davis, Roosevelt “Chicken” and “Bay Bay”. Mr. Jackie Lavern Wilson leaves to cherish his memory: son, Demario Blackman; 8 grandchildren, Arianna and Karma Williams, Marello Youngblood, Robert and Ry’Lee Blackmon, Malaya and Steve Williams, and Jaquetta Kidd; step-children, Precious, Latasha and Dwight Williams; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Elbert and Ethel Lee (Brewton) Wilson; 2 brothers, Clyde Brewton and Marlon Wilson; former wife, Tanya Wilson; aunts, Brenda (Dwight) Johnson, all of Flint, Sheila (Lee) Davis of Wiggins, MS, Cynthia Brewton, Carolyn Brewton, both of Hattiesburg, MS, Shirley Johnson of Flint, Carrie (Bruce) Washington of Anderson, SC and Wilola (Jeffrey) Klein of of Charlotte, NC; Robert (Sharon) Brewton of Flint, Stephon Brewton of Texas and Earl (Doris) Wilson of Grove Hill, AL; a host nieces including special niece, Barshay Brewton-Wilson; a host of nephews including special nephew, Barshawn Brewton-Wilson; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his grandmother, Archie Lee Brewton; grandfather, Robert Brewton; uncle, Booker T. Johnson; great-aunt, Annie Edgar; cousin, Bobby Brent; and step-daughter, Sonya Williams.
