WILLIAMS, Mr. Isiah - Age 83, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 12Noon Saturday, April 8, 2006 at Judah Full Gospel Baptist Church, 5380 W. Pierson Rd., with funeral service commencing 1PM. Eld. Coscetia Weathlery,Sr., officiating. Overseer Bennie Stribling, Host Pastor. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 12Noon Saturday. Mr. Williams will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mr. Isaiah Williams was born June 11, 1922 in Jericho, Arkansas, the son of Andrew and Sally Williams. Isiah Williams united in Holy Matrimony with Gladys Lee Payne who preceded him in death on January 27, 2006. He was employed with Fisher Body II-Coldwater Rd., until his retirement in 1985 and was a member of Local 326. Isiah loved fishing, working on cars, and traveling with his family when he was able. He always enjoyed listening and dancing to his "Down Home" Blues. Isiah loved to reminiscence with his loved ones about his formative years in Arkansas. He believed in helping others and proved in that concept by paving the way for many. Isiah was always in good spirits even when he was sick. He will truly be missed, but his acts of kindness will never be forgotten. Mr. Isiah Williams leaves to cherish his memory: children, Lee Andrew Williams, Earnestine Williams, Burnett, Al "Jimmie" Williams, and Melinda "Birdie" Williams; step-son, Glemon (Barbara) Allmon; 13 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren; brother, Willie Carl (Rita) Williams; many nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and friends including special friends the Coleman, Rawls, Fordham, Moss, Alexander, Harris, Gregory and Rita families; special neighbor, Mr. James Jackson; and Ms. Cynthia Harris (front desk at Hurley Medical Center). Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gladys Lee Williams; children, Lanie Williams, Alexander and James Williams; grandson, Derikeo Williams; parents, Andrew and Sally Williams; sister, Martha Anderson, Mary Guy, Emma Williams and Mattie Terry; brothers, Lee, James, Ernie, George and A.T. Williams; grandparents, Bill and Martha Bailey; mother-in-law, Beaulah Hall; sister-in-law, Naomi Dunn; aunts, and Maggie Worth and Lizzie Bailey. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center NICU 5East staff, Eric Tremain, Mike Pettey and Stephanie Rosenberg.
