Irene Luckado

LUCKADO, Ms. Irene - Age 73, passed away Friday, June 15, 2007 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 11AM Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Heavenly Host Full Gospel Baptist Church, 2202 W. Dartmouth St. Bishop M.C. Akins officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11AM Thursday. Ms. Luckado will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1PM-8PM Wednesday. Ms. Irene "Rene" Luckado was born April 29, 1934 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Fines and Nancy Luckado. She attended Parkland Elementary, Emerson Jr. High, and Northern High School. Irene accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized at Heavenly Host Full Gospel Baptist Church. "Rene" was a dedicated and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, especially Barbequing. "Rene" also loved doing hair and talking to everyone. Even though her education was cut short, she was a wise, independent, great woman who believed in keeping a clean house. She will be sadly missed. Ms. Irene "Rene" Luckado leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Nancy and Paula; 2 sons, Michael all of Flint and Jeffrey (Kimberly) Luckado of Waldorf, MD; grandchildren, Marcus "Alan", Jeffrey Jr., Trent, Jaelyn, Jourdain and Jazmine Luckado; play grandchildren; Neville and Nicholas Mason; sister, Annie Lee Campbell; 2 brothers-in-law, Will T. Fleming and Luther Altheimer; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including, Lola Mathews, Ellen Gist, Stewart Ave. neighbors and friends, Margie Anderson and Sonya Mason. Ms. Luckado was preceded in death by her parents, Fines and Nancy Luckado; sisters, Evergene Fleming, Ellen Altheimer and Velma Tipton; brothers, Fred and James Luckado; niece, Gail Lemon; great-nephews, Fines Luckado and Terry Mabry; sister-in-law, Catherine Luckado. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center ER and CCU staff, Dr. R. Schumacher, Lisa Lindsey, Bishop M.C. Akins and Heavenly Host Full Gospel Baptist Church family.
