ANDREWS, Mother Inez - Age 76, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at her residence. Family hour 10:30AM Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Refuge Temple Church of Flint, G-4400 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM, Pastor Seon Thompson officiating. Interment Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, G-2020 E. Hill Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Saturday. Mother Andrews will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mother Inez Andrews was born October 27, 1933 in East Chicago, Indiana, the daughter of the late Rev. James Crosby Hunt and Rosa Lee Isaac. Mother Andrews was a resident of Flint. She was baptized at an early age in the Name of Jesus Christ and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. Mother Andrews attended Refuge Temple Church of Flint and was a faithful servant unto the Lord. Her motto was “With God all things are possible”. Mother Andrews completed high school in East Chicago, IN and furthered her education in Business Administration at Ivy Tech Vocational Center in Gary, IN. She also graduated from Ross Medical Educational Center with her Certified Medical Assistant Certificate in 1988. Mother Andrews was also a volunteer at Hurley Medical Center in the early 1990’s and a sub-secretary for the Flint Community Schools. She was dedicated to her family and loved going to church until her illness. Mother Andrews leaves to cherish her memory: 3 children, Monica M. Gentry of Flint, Victoria (Cassius) Webster of Mt. Morris, MI, Yvette D. Gentry of Flint; grandchildren, James Daniel III, Tashaunda D. (Kwann) Horton, Edwina C. Daniel, Neesha’ D. Daniel, William A. (Stephanie) Martin III, Joshua R. Taylor, Jeremiah L. Taylor, Jerry Anderson II, Cassius F. Webster II, Khadijah J. Webster, Rammel R., Adrian A. and Devin V. Gentry; great-grandchildren, James A. Thornton, Tyanna M. Martin, Kaden Martin, Ariel M. Brett, Anthony F. Anderson, Candace M.V. Anderson, Aeronna El-Amin, Keara and Malachi Doan, Iryonna Daniel, Joetavius Wash, Malaysia Steele, Danielle, Deasha and Dreama Daniel; 2 unborn great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sheila Thomas of Milwaukee, WI; brother, George Arnold (Tish) Hunt of Gary, IN; 20 nieces; 3 nephews; uncle, James Russell Hunt of East Chicago, IN; a host of other relatives and friends, including special friends, Tonya Robinson, 2 goddaughters, Breanna Robinson, Rocha Nowell, Linda Hopkins, Felicia West and Debra Brown of Lithonia, GA. Mother Andrews was preceded in death by first husband, Nathan J. D. Gentry (1976); second husband, Miles J. Andrews, Jr. (2002); sister, Ethel L. Smith (2003); brothers, James R. Hunt (1999), Phillip E. Riley (1972); great niece, Sherria C. Brooks (2002); niece, LeJuiene Smith-Love (2004); and great nephew, Arthur Love (2004). The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center 4th floor PCU, 7th floor 7E staff, Henry Ford Hospital P2 Oncology staff, Drs. Ronda Loufti, S. Grewal, E. Saeed, Dr.Akl (Radiation Oncologist) and staff at Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute, Pastor Seon Thompson and the entire Refuge Temple Church family, Hospice of Michigan nurses, Kate, Trina and staff.
