WALLACE, Mrs. Icephine - Age 79, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2006 at her residence. Family hour 10:30AM Saturday, April 8, 2006 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Rev. James Wallace officiating, Bishop H.M. Badon, presiding. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Saturday. Mrs. Wallace will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mrs. Icephine Wallace was born November 12, 1926 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the daughter of Idena and James Clayton. She grew up in Sherrill, Arkansas, and recently was a resident of Flint. Mrs. Wallace attended church in Sherrill, AR at Cheeks Chapel Church. In 1982, she received her GED at the age of 58. Mrs. Wallace was a retired housekeeper and enjoyed flowers, shopping, traveling and sewing. Mrs. Icephine Wallace leaves to cherish her memory: children, Barbara J. Mitchell, Rev. James H. Wallace, both of Sherrill, AR, Alga (Lessie) Wallace of Flint, MI, and Ronnie (Linda) Wallace of Flint; step-daughter, Alberta (Sims) Kay of Muskegon, MI; grandchildren, Cardiette, Tony, Mark (Nicole), Jason (Kim), Darlene, Richard and Marvin Wallace, Reggie, Kaneesha, Ronald (Crystal) Wallace, all of Flint, Keoshia (Calvin) Corder of Grand Blanc, MI, Christopher Wallace of Atlanta, GA, Icelinn and Cyreeta Wallace, Eric Johnson of Flint; 21 great-grandchildren; and 3 cousins, Paul, Robert and Idena Harris; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Ailene and Ernestine Shaw, Vera Wilkins, Bill Freeman, Mr. and Mrs. Washington, the Badons and Vivian Sims, and many more friends too numerous to mention. Mrs.Wallace was preceded in death by her husband, Alga Wallace, SR; son, Larry Wallace; grandson, Jeffery Wallace; great-grandson, Alga Tony Wallace II; parents; and grandmother, Sara Harris. The family would like to express special thanks to McLaren Regional Medical Center staff, the Genesys Hospice staff, especially Dan and Barbara Ogden, Judi Bleicher, many other friends and dear relatives.
