Mr. Hurley Trouser

TROUSER, Mr. Hurley -Age 88, passed away January, 24 2022, at McLaren-Flint. Mr. Trouser will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 Saginaw St.Mr. Hurley Trouser was born April 25, 1933, in Grady, Arkansas; the son of the late Mr. Hosie Trouser & Mrs. Willie Trouser. Hurley was affectionately known by many loved ones as “Perch”. Hurley worked at General Motors from 1956-1996, retiring from Fisher Body after 40 years of dedicated service. He accepted Christ at an early age in Arkansas, and after moving to Flint, Michigan, he became a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He attended faithfully until he became ill. Hurley enjoyed fishing, working on rental properties and vehicles, gardening, watching boxing and wrestling matches, and eating hearty meals with his family. He took great joy in teaching his sons and grandsons the many crafts that he developed over the years. He also enjoyed many genres of music and sang in gospel quartet group in his younger days. Hurley was especially fond of babies and enjoyed singing to them and making them laugh. Mr. Hurley Trouser leaves to cherish his memory: wife of greater than 65 years, Mrs. Birdie E. Trouser; daughter, Ms. Loretta Lane; 5 sons, Mr. Billie Joe Cain, Mr. Robert Cain, Mr. Waverly Trouser, Mr. Herman Trouser and Mr. Walter (Connie) Trouser, all of Flint; sister, Mrs. Irene Hullet of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. His special friends include, Mr. Green Wedlow, Mr. Clinton Echols, Mr. James Daniels, Mr. Major Witherspoon, Mr. Wisdom Pittman; and loving neighbors, the Morse family. Hurley was preceded in death by his daughter, Ms. Shirley Trouser; parents, Mr. Hosie Trouser and Mrs. Willie Trouser; 2 sisters, Ms. Viola Trouser, and Mrs. Reola Jackson; 3 brothers, Mr. Henry Trouser, Mr. Junior Trouser, and his twin, Mr. Early “Buffalo” Trouser. The family would like to express special thanks to Latonia Fletcher and the staff of Woodland Park Assisted Care where Hurley resided for the last six years; the doctors and staff at McClaren Hospital; ProMedics Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, as well as Bishop Urundi B. Knox, Ebenezer Ministries; Pastor Alfred L. Harris, Saints of God Church; Pastor Samuel Berry, Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church; Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home; and Gracelawn Cemetery.
