LINDSEY, Mr. Henry Lee - Age 90, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024 at his residence in Nottingham, MD. Family hour 12:30 PM Friday, February 16, 2024 at Church Without Walls Ministries, 6202 Dupont Ave., with funeral service commencing at 1:00 PM. Pastor Robert Cager, officiating, Pastor Martez Warren, Host Pastor. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 12:30 PM Friday. Mr. Lindsey will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Bro. Henry Lee Lindsey age 90, of Nottingham, Maryland passed away at his residence on January 27, 2024 Brother Lindsey, fondly known as Hawk or Jeff, was born to Charlie and Mary Bell (Brownlee) Lindsey, on June 2, 1933, in Tyronza, Arkansas. As a young man, he was an avid hunter. He loved spending time with family. Henry Lindsey married his childhood sweetheart Nina Mae (Cheeks) in 1953. After the birth of their eldest daughter, Joann, the family relocated to Flint, MI in 1955. Together, they shared a life full of love laughter, and fond memories. In 1991, Bro. Lindsey renewed his relationship with the Lord and became an active member of Heavenly Host Full Gospel Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop M.C Akins and later, Church of the Harvest pastored by Bishop Neil Roberson. He served faithfully and he loved the Lord. Bro. Lindsey served as an Usher, but he was most dedicated to his role in the Security Ministry. Bro. Lindsey was deputized and on any given Sunday, you could find him in full uniform in the vestibule at Heavenly Host humming along to the sounds of the devotion service. Bro. Henry Lindsey leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters, Joann (Robert) Cager of Nottingham, MD and Juliet Sutherland of Flint, MI; son, James (Raven) Lindsey of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Demetrice Lindsey, Nina (Schyler) Johnson, Bryan (Nicole) Vincent, Denise Vincent, Baron (Kiara) Vincent, Jamesha Lindsey, Brent McKee, Wayne Watkins, Rayondrick Lindsey, Theo McGinnis, Adrian (Gabrielle) Davis, Johnny Lindsey Jr.; cousin, Freddie Belle Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren including his namesakes, Lindsey Skye of Maryland, Henry Lee Weatherall of Arkansas; longtime friends, Eugene Harris, Freddy and Leon Johnson; and special niece, Louise Mock of Indiana. Bro. Lindsey was preceded in death by his daughter, Telisa (Bryan) Vincent; son, Johnny Ray (Angilena) Lindsey Sr.; brothers, Johnny Lee, Joe Willie (Bobbie), and Louis T (Tanya); sister, Charlie Mae (John); and the love of his life, Nina Mae Lindsey to whom he was happily married by the grace of God for over 53 years until her passing in 2006. son-in-law, Fritz Sutherland.
