CLARK, Atty. Henry James Jr. "Jamie" - Age 57, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, Texas. Family hour 9:00 AM Friday, June 20, 2025 at Triumph Church -Burton Campus, 2130 S. Center Rd., Burton, MI, with funeral service commencing at 10:00 AM. Pastor Solomon Kinloch, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 9:00 AM Friday. Atty. Clark will lie in state in the chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday, with family present from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. Henry James Clark, Jr., affectionately known as “Jamie”, age 57, was born September 11, 1967 in Flint, Michigan the son of Henry and Jane Clark. He departed his earthly vessel on June 11, 2025 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas surrounded by his family and friends. Jamie graduated from E.A. Johnson High School and furthered his education at Central Michigan University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Interpersonal Communication. He later attended Wayne State University where he earned a Juris Doctorate. Over the past 30 years, Jamie practiced Criminal Law in Michigan, Arizona and most recently in Texas as the President and CEO of Law Offices of Henry J. Clark, Jr. Jamie lived and loved life to the fullest. He accepted Christ into his life. Jamie was an avid sports fan and passionate about Michigan State University! He was a season ticket holder for MSU football for years and attended numerous Spartan events. He loved the Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons and the Los Angeles Lakers. For the past several years, Jamie and his buddies traveled the U.S. chasing NFL teams. Jamie was a fitness enthusiast who completed marathons, the Crim and several Shaun T challenges. He enjoyed reading, shopping and traveling to Flint to visit family and friends. Jamie had a great sense of humor and an infectious smile. He exuded style and grace. Jamie was well versed in sports, music, entertainment and politics. He was a great debater who forced you to see the other side of any conversation. Jamie loved body art and motorcycles. He spent years playing basketball at Coolidge Elementary and was a former assistant basketball coach at Carman Ainsworth High School. Henry James Clark, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: loving parents, Jane and Henry Clark, Sr.; sister and best friend, Carla Clark, all of Flint, MI; aunt, Eddie L. Sanders; uncle, Milton (Pamela) Gibson Sr.; aunt, Lydia Coleman; uncles, Walter (Juanita) Gibson, and Ronald Barnett; cousins, Tamara Sanders, Cheryl, William Jr. “Coley” Coleman, Mia, Anthony Barnett, Sabrina, Patrice, Milton Jr., Jeremy, Jonathan, Jarrae, Countee Jr. Gibson, Nysaen Crofton, Zedra Gillespie, Juanetta, Jermaine, Jessica, Jason, Deidra Gibson, Alyssa Hall; and friends Mark and Debbie Campbell, Jeff Childers, Arthur Lee Dickerson Jr., Bryan McDonald, Darwin Moore Jr., special friend Angela Murry of Dallas, Texas, god-children, Courtney and Tyler Campbell, and Uncle Jamie to Ana, Isa and Sammy Terry, a host of cousins and friendships he has established over the years. Henry was preceded in death by grandparents, Fred and Hazel Clarke, Junious and Tabitha Gibson; uncles, Samuel Sanders, Ronald Gibson, and Countee Gibson Sr., aunt, Joyce Barnett; cousin, Jennifer Gibson; many great-aunts and great-uncles. The family would like to express special thanks to Baylor University Medical Center, 4th Floor ICU doctors and nurses, Triumph Church, Living Word Ministry, Saints of God Church, Greater Holy Temple Church Of God In Christ, Andrea Benson, Kendra Hatchett and friends who traveled from Arizona and Texas.
