LEE, Mrs. Henrietta - Age 81, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 from Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at Word of Life Christian Church, 460 W. Atherton Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Rev. George Wilkinson Host Pastor, Elder James Paul Sanders officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m. Friday. Mrs. Lee will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday. Mother Henrietta Lee was born May 18, 1934 in Uvalda, Ga., the daughter of the late Dewitt and Gussie Mae Hall. She married Robert E. Lee Jr and moved to Flint, Michigan. Mother Lee united with First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church and later became a faithful member of Pentecostal Temple Church under the leadership of Elder. James Sanders and remained a member over 30 years. Mother Lee worked for Kith Haven Convalescent Home and Hurley Hospital in the Dietary Department where she retired after 23 years of service. She loved her family dearly and always talked to others about her children, grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren. Mother Lee was an awesome woman of God and touched the lives of many people. She always saw the good in every situation and greeted you with a smile. Mother Henrietta Lee leaves to cherish her memories: husband of 61 years, Robert E. Lee, Jr.; 2 daughters, Roberta Waller of Flint, and Linda Diane Lee-Lewis of Haymarket, VA; 2 sons, Robert Darnell (Mary) Lee, of Canton, MI., Gary (Teresa) Lee, of Grand Blanc, MI; 4 granddaughters, Kimica Lee, Melissa Waller, Morgan Waller, and Kassandra Lee; 4 grandsons, Gary Lee, Brandon Lee, Kristopher Jones, Geoffrey Jones and Nicholas Lewis; 4 great-granddaughters, Kassadie, Aniya, Milan and Berkley; 3 brothers, Dewitt (Avery Jewell) Hall, James (Katherine) Hall, and Maxwell (Betty) Hall, all of Miami, FL; 4 sisters, Mildred Lane of Flint, Louise Gordon of Miami, FL, Mae Francis Perkins and Hilda Kelly, both of Uvalda, GA; brother-in-law, Freddie (Monnie) McAllister; sister-in-law, Alberta Lee all of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends including best friends, Evelyn Ward and Margie McClain. Mother Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Dewitt and Gussie Mae Hall; 3 brothers, Donald, Joseph and Eugene Hall; mother and father-in-law, Robert E. Lee, Sr. and Chessie Mae Lee.
