Mrs. Helen Faye Seay

SEAY, Mrs. Helen Faye - age 71, entered into rest Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Huntsville Hospital-Huntsville, AL. Family hour 11 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 115 Welch Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 12 p.m. Pastor Floyd Fuller, Sr. officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11 a.m. Saturday. Mrs. Seay will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1 p.m.-8 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Mrs. Helen Faye Seay was born on July 13, 1943 in Ozan, Arkansas, to the union of Kelsie and Ollie Baker. Helen was a resident of Flint, Michigan most of her life. She was employed by General Motors for many years, retiring in 1989. Helen was a very faithful member of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church for over 30 years serving faithfully and diligently as a deaconess, president of Nursing Guild and the Kitchen Committee. Helen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She never met a stranger. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and spending time with her family. Mrs. Helen Seay leaves to cherish her loving memory: Devoted husband of 54 years, Walter L. Seay Sr.; daughter, Jessica Seay; 5 sons, Walter Jr., Steven Sr. (Tonya), Michael (Melanie), Kelsie and Larry (Donna) Seay; 13 grandchildren, Steven Jr., Ashley, Michael, Myan, Kelsie Jr., Eric, Charles, Casey, Larry Jr., Marcus, Malik, Chrystal and Demetrius; 9 great-grandchildren; mother, Ollie Baker; sister, Maelean (Napoleon) Gilmore; brother, Elray (Sharon) Baker; 2sisters-in-law, Queen Ester Seay of Huntsville, AL and Bell Seay of Flint; brother-in-law, Fred Wynn Sr. of Huntsville, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends including special nieces, Tracey Gilmore-Silas, and Althea Jackson; 2 special aunts, Eula Conway and Callean Grant; special uncle, George Conway; and 2 very special best friends, Frankie Henderson and Margaret Montgomery. Mrs. Helen Seay was preceded in death by: father, Kelsie Baker Jr.; grandparents, Mitchell and Everlean Conway Sr. and Kelsie (Aileen) Baker Sr.
