Mr. Haywood Bernard Wadsworth

WADSWORTH, Mr. Haywood Bernard - Age 58, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Heritage Manor. Family hour 11:00 AM Friday, January 26, 2018 at Refuge Temple Church of Flint, 4400 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:30 AM. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Freinds and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:00 AM Friday. Mr. Wadsworth will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday. Mr. Haywood B. Wadsworth was born June 13, 1959 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Salters and Odena Wadsworth. He was know by many friend and loved ones as “Woody”. Haywood was educated in the Flint Community Schools and was a graduate of Flint Southwestern High School. He attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. Haywood later returned to Flint after the death of his father to be with his family. He also has degrees from Mott Community College, Baker College and attended the University of Michigan. Haywood worked as an Electronic Technician at Jabill Circuit, Inc. in Auburn Hills, MI. He was married to Jacqueline Little for 15 years and from this union one son was born, Haywood Dominque Wadsworth. Haywood was a master craftsman who loved to fix, build and restore things. He took great pride in his work. His hobbies included sports, traveling and Jazz music. Mr. Haywood B. Wadsworth leaves to cherish his memory: son, Haywood Dominique Wadsworth of Brooklyn, NY; mother, Odena Wadsworth; brother, Phillip Wadsworth of Flint; 3 nieces, Taylor Wadsworth, Paige Wadsworth, both of Belleville, MI and Whitney Wadswroth of Flint; 2 uncles, Benjamin Covington of New Port Richie, FL and William (Thelma R.) McCollum; 6 cousins, Denise Blackwell, all of Belleville, MI, Janna Garrison of Memphis, TN, Lorna Pinson of Grasslake, MI, Kimberly Adedoyin of Baltimore, MD, Dennis Wadsworth of Southfield, MI and Gary Wadsworth of Fort Riley, KS; sister-in-law, Roxanne Wadsworth of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends including special friend, Jacqueline Little. \Mr. Wadsworth was preceded in death by his father, Salters Wadsworth; and grandparents, Haywood and Virginia Covington
