JEFFERSON, Mrs. Gwendolyn - Age 73, passed away Monday, July 27, 2026 at Henry Ford - Genesys. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, August 8, 2026, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Rev. Rodney Ellison, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St., Flint, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Saturday. Mrs. Jefferson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Mrs. Gwendolyn Jefferson was born August 25, 1952, in Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of Charlene and Norman Watson. Gwendolyn graduated from Hall High School in Little Rock, AR. Several years later, she married the love of her life, Bobby Jefferson, and they spent 32 cherished years together. Soon after marrying, they moved to Flint, Michigan, where she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an exceptional cook who loved the outdoors and treasured time spent with her family. Her humor, infectious laugh, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed. Mrs. Gwendolyn Jefferson leaves to cherish her memory: sister, Phillis Watson of Little Rock, AR; daughters, Valerie Watson of Flint, Lisa (Spencer) Whitehead of Grand Blanc, MI and Quintella Butler of Little Rock, AR; grandchildren, O’Shay Mullins, De’Zhanae Bennett, Martina Watson, Shamar Watson, Faith Irvin, Jalisa Whitehead, Charlotte Whitehead, Kevin Butler and Bryce (Jessica) Douglas; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives, friends and loved ones. Mrs. Jefferson was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Jefferson; parents, Charlene and Norman Watson; sister, Norma Faye; brothers, Phillip, Delma, George, Donald, Shelbert and Robert.
