Mr. Gregory Jackson

JACKSON, Mr. Gregory - Age 51, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 at his residence. Family hour 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 26, 2017at Quinn Chapel AME Church, 2101 Lippincott Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM Elder Kenneth Gillard officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the church 1:00 PM Tuesday. Mr. Jackson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday. Mr. Gregory Theron Jackson was born March 3, 1966 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Donald L. and Yuvondra Jackson. He was a member of Quinn Chapel AME Church for 51 years. Gregory graduated from Flint Southwestern High School, “Class of 1984” and attended Alabama State University from 1984-1986. He enjoyed fishing and playing Chess with his cousin, Jerrold Brown. Gregory has a passion for music and often wrote poetry. He was gifted athletically and a great dancer. Greg had a very creative and entrepreneurial spirit. Mr. Gregory Theron Jackson leaves to cherish memory: daughter, Tiffany; mother, Yuvondra Jackson; 2 brothers, Michael D. (Ariane) Jackson M.D. and Terrance L. (Veronica) Jackson of Columbia, MD; 2 nieces, Anissa (James) Brown of West Des Moines, IA and Chelsea Jackson of Columbia, MD; 2 nephews, Mychal Jackson II of West Des Moines, IA and Christopher Jackson of Columbia, MD; 5 aunts, Barbara Brown, Marilyn Jackson, Ollie Jackson, Pamela Jackson and Dorothy Jackson; 3 uncles, James Jackson, Kenneth Jackson and Harry Jackson all of Flint; cousins, Aaron Jackson, Andrea Jackson, Adriane Jackson, Ashley Simpson, Mutima Jackson-Anderson, James “JC” Jackson, Kevin Jackson, Krisha Jackson, Lori Jackson, Cynthia Jackson, Kandaria Poole, Sandra Houston, Veronica Brown, Tracy Brown, Jerrold Brown and Brenda Webber; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Sherman Raglon and Romello Cochran (whom he embrace as his own son. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his father, Donald L. Jackson; grandparents, David and Carrie Jackson, Thomas Sr. and Carrie Pearson; and uncles, Thomas Pearson Jr., David Jackson and Carl Jackson.
