Mr. Gregory Alan Bradley Sr.

BRADLEY, Mr. Gregory Alan Sr. - age 50, made his transition from mortality to immortality Monday, June 30, 2014 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Blackwell AME Zion Church, 1902 Sonny St., with homegoing service commencing at 11 a.m. Reverend Anthony G. Morris officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Bradley will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12 noon-8 p.m. Tuesday with family present from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. Mr. Gregory Alan Bradley, Sr. was born to Audrey Mae and Benjamin Lee Bradley, Sr. on September 13, 1963 in Flint, Michigan. He was a graduate of Flint Northern High School. His heart belonged to B&B Constructions, his sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews until June 9, 2006 when Katrina Dyan Jackson became Mrs. Gregory Alan Bradley, Sr. Gregory and Katrina’s household of two soon became a household of five: Jeanette Rene′, Gregory Alan, Jr. and Audreyona May Bradley. This union added a beautiful family of in-laws: father and mother-in-law, LuJuan and Carolyn Jackson; sister-in-law, LaJuanda (Bobby) Blade, Jr., LuJuan (Jenny) Jackson of Virginia Beach,VA; aunts-in-law, Bobbie (Robert) Cheatham and Brenda Thames; and grandmother-in-law, Evelyn Strickland. Mr. Gregory Alan Bradley, Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Katrina; children, Jeanette Rene′, Gregory Alan, Jr. and Audreyona May; four sisters, Diane (Brent) Simpson of Flint, Debra (William) Schumake of Detroit, MI, Karen and Regina Bradley; one brother, Gary (Macy) Bradley, all of Flint; two aunts; Helen Watson of Las Vegas, NV and Ada Green; three uncles, Frank McFadden, J.C. Gilmore of Toledo, OH and Monroe (Gloria) McFadden of Grand Blanc, MI; two cousins, Gene McFadden of Indianapolis, IN and Dora Watson; nineteen nieces, eight nephews, thirty great nieces, thirty-seven great nephews, two great-great nieces and two great-great nephews; and four best friends, Billy Anthony, Charles Andre Gray, Melvin Bishop and Michael Cobbins. The mortal loss of Greg has shaken the foundation of this family. The unique taste of his barbecue, the sound of his voice, family gatherings, the one on one, talks and hugs will be missed. Gregory and his mother-in-law started selling dinners; his love for the grill and Carolyn’s love for baking was a great combination. Many will miss the delightfully succulent bone sucking taste of his barbecue and his mother-in-laws mouthwatering and moist lemon pound cake and triple layer chocolate cake. Together they were going to open a family restaurant. Mr. Bradley was preceded in death by: his mother and father, Audrey Mae and Benjamin Lee Bradley, Sr.; sister, Jacqueline Louise Bradley; brother, Benjamin Lee Bradley, Jr.; nephews, Robert Raymond Bradley and Marquan Colen. The family would like to express special thanks to McLaren-Flint, Darryl Robinson, Rev. Anthony G. Morris and the Blackwell A.M.E. Zion Church family and Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home. The Family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many prayers, comforting messages, floral tributes and many other expressions of kindness evidenced at this time in thought and deed.
