Mr. Glenn Bonner

BONNER, Mr. Glenn - Age 55, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at his residence. Family hour 10 a.m. Thursday, April, 2, 2015 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Elder Lequin Williams Officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10 a.m. Thursday. Mr. Bonner will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Glenn Bonner was born to Mr. John R. Sr. and Mrs. Millie Lee (Owens) Bonner on February 11, 1960 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a graduate of Flint Northern High School. In his mid-teens he worked for the Flint Journal. Shortly after graduation he found employment at the City of Flint in Public Works. Glenn later embarked on a journey as a truck driver at Superior Plastics, until he retired from health issues. This is when he began chauffeuring for Cameron’s Limousine Service. Glenn loved listening to oldies tunes, playing basketball, taking his nieces and nephews on bike rides, and had a heart for the elderly. He smiled often and has a laugh that would make you laugh back. Glenn was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all. He leaves to cherish his memory: loving wife of 12 years, Dollesther Bonner of Flint; daughters, LeAnna Haywood of Seattle, WA and Glenessa Bonner of Columbus, OH; step-daughters, Euleen and Paula Williams; step-sons, Aaron and Ricky Williams all of Flint; granddaughter, Leilani T. Jones; 19 step-grandchildren; great-granddaughter, HarMahny Dixon; mother, Millie Lee Bonner; sisters, Rochelle Bonner-Taylor, Sonia and Jannie Bonner; brothers, John R. (Penny) Bonner Jr.; 13 nieces, 4 nephews; 3 sisters-in-law, Johnna Boyce, Gail Cooper, Lesley Harper-Boyd; 2 brothers-in-law, Bob Harper, Mack (Denise) Harper; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends: Joe White, Joe Cooper, Phil Loving, and Charlie Turner. Mr. Bonner was preceded in death by: step-daughter, Erraa-Shavon Williams; father, John R. Bonner Sr.; grandparents, Corine Hunt, George and Savannah Bonner; aunts, Geraldine Tenant, Fannie Milton, Alma Bonner; uncles, Elgin T. Bonner, Charlie L. Owens, Henry Tenant, Eddie L. Owens; and cousin, Donna Tenant. The family would like to extend special thanks to At Home Network and Nurses Jeff and Anna, High Tech Protection and Security, Cpt. Gladney, Sgt. Vance, Sgt. Allen, Sgt. Cummings, Lt. Brown, Officers Marks and Mavie, and our friends and family for their support.
