DUNCAN, Ms. Geraldine - Age 58, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at her residence. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2 p.m. Supt. Edward Sewell officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Ms. Duncan will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday. Ms. Geraldine Duncan was born November 30, 1956 in Talladega, Alabama, the daughter of Lorrine and Earnest Duncan. She graduated from Lockport High school in Illinois and was a member of Solid Foundation C.O.G.I.C. Geraldine enjoyed singing hymns, and writing bible scriptures in her spare time. She was a very sweet, loving, kind, and unique person who loved to brighten up your day with a kind word, or affection. She liked to talk about God and how good he is, the beauty within shone on the inside. Ms. Geraldine Duncan leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Leana Ann Duncan, and Cynthia Mae Bethay; brother, Leon Duncan; 7 grandchildren, Tara Duncan, LaShay Duncan, LaShawn Duncan, Jahien Duncan, Knesha Donald, Leandray Donald, and Tonya Coleman; 4 sisters, Evelyn Agius, Corrine Duncan, Irene Duncan, and Jarnina Foster Pawline Duncan; 2 brothers, Levi Duncan, and Ernest Duncan; 3 nieces, Samamtha Foster, Georgia Harris, and Patricia Golly; 6 nephews, Johnathan Duncan, Eric Duncan, Robert Duncan, Tolan Duncan, Samauel Foster, Peair Feugroe, and Andre Feugroe; a host of other relatives and friends including the Burns family, the Taylor family, Shelia Gill, Georgia Harris, Alicia Mitchelle, the Sewell family, and son-in-law, Robert “Rabbit” Vasquez. Ms. Geraldine Duncan was preceded in death by her parents; Lorrine and Earnest Duncan; 3 brothers, Freddie Jhonnie Lee Duncan, Charles Foster, and Henry Duncan. The family would like to express special thanks to Superintendent Edward J. Sewell and first lady Gail Sewell, the entire Solid Foundation Church family, Dr. Kelvin Callaway and staff Latrice and Towanna, Miss Shelia Gill, and Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and Staff.
