WILEY, Mr. George W. - Age 81, affectionally known as “Ray” & “Paul” departed this life on Friday, October 14, 2011 at his residence. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2011 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11a.m. Eld. Norman Booker, Jr., officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Wiley will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 2-8 p.m. Friday. Mr. George W. Wiley was born March 6, 1930 in Lexington, Mississippi. He and his twin Fred were the eldest sons born to John & Katie Wiley. Georgemarried Myrtle M. Randle in March of 1948 and from this union they were blessed with six children. In 1953, the Wiley family moved to Flint, Michigan. Georgeretired from Buick after over 38 years of dedicated service. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. George helped in the home with cooking and cleaning, he enjoyed preparing a home cooked lunch for his wife and even taking it to her place of employment at AC. One of his many joys came from playing and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. George W. Wiley leaves to cherish his memory: five children, Crystal Diane (William) Saines of Burton, MI, George (Wanda) Wiley, James Wiley, Larry (Jeanette) Wiley and Jacqueline Wiley-Jackson, all of Flint, MI; nine grandchildren, Dena Saines of Flint, MI, DeMario Wiley of Lexington, MS, Monty D. Jackson, Damien Hunter, Martell Wiley, Larry Wiley Jr., Lauren Wiley, Monet Jackson and Dontae, all of Flint, MI; seven great grandchildren; four sisters, Hermine Booker of Flint, MI, Charlene (Isaiah) Young of Tulare, CA, Aggie Randle of Crugar, MS and Callie (Lamar) Bates of Calumet City, IL; one brother, Theodore (Emma) Wiley of Flint, MI; aunt, Clara Smith of Flint, MI; uncle, Thomas Randle of Belzoni, MS; three sisters-in-law, Thelma Wiley of Crugar, MS, Elizabeth Wiley of Bakersfield, CA and Ethel Wiley of Delano, CA; brother-in-law, Issac Love of Chicago, IL; a host of nieces and nephews, including adopted children, Zenobia, Helen, Vanessa, Mary and Joenathan, neighbors of over 40 years, Andrew and Willie Grant and other relatives and friends. Mr. Wiley was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Myrtle; son; John Wiley; parents, John and Katie Wiley; twin brother, Fred Wiley; brothers, Kelso Wiley, James Wiley, Woodrow Wiley, Warren Wiley and Doty Anderson; sisters, Zenobia Booker and Quinzola Anderson; and step-sister, Florence Henderson. The family would like to express special thanks for the many acts of kindness shown to them in their hour of sorrow.
